The WFA: Night Club Meets Fight Club

And Like Everyone Else, ZUFFA Ended Up Buying WFA. People Think RAMPAGE Came To The UFC Via PRIDE FC But That's Incorrect. RAMPAGE Fought Outta WFA And So Did Lyoto Machida.

I went to the WFA a few times and everyone involved in the MMA scene back then was there.. I had some friends fighting there as well as I used to train with Lion's Den fighters. And I ran into the Miz before he was in the WWE. I recognized him from The Real World TV show. Maybe do an episode on King of the Cage. That had a who's who of old school MMA fighters participate in fights there and observing backstage and in the audience.

Crazy true fact about Ruben I met the guy when I was at my ex gfs gym. He was a cool guy. Too bad he was never in the UFC though but nice dude.

I really thought wfa was something they made up for the game 😂

I'd love to see some more early promotions spotlighted like King of the Cage or Rumble on the Rock.

I have met Ruben a few times back in the early 2010s. Super nice guy. My favor story hear about him was he was at an all can you eat place. They just bought out a frash pie. He walks up to it and tells them that they are out of pie. He takes the whole pie and walks away. When I ask him about that story he said that he was being nice for telling them that they were out of pie lol

That Hallman shot was gnarly. Should see the poor guy squirming and checking himself. One of the worst nutshots ever. Dude couldn't continue and that's pretty rare

Great video, always like anything about MMA history. It's a small unimportant detail but the UFC was bought for $2 million not 4 million, a even better deal, realistically they had spent closer to 50 million before they started seeing a return, now that is passion for the bigger picture. If anyone besides Lorenzo & Frank would have bought the UFC it would have folded for sure.

My mind was blown when out of no where I see King of the Streets on PPV with all the big names on the card. This was back when we had free satellite and literally had everything for free. Pride, K-1, King of the Cage, UFC, Shidokan, Pancrase etc. I thought the fights were decent for the time. My favorite of course was the Bas fight. He looked awesome. What an event.
