I thank you for putting up this video but I caution each and every one of you to NOT go into the trucking business in an environment where there are more trucks on the road than there is avaibaleb freight at this time. You are not going to make any money on rates that are paying $1.50 or lower. Many truckers have gone under in the last 18 months due to not being able to cover expenses related to costs. Why should I pay you $2 per mile when the poor sap who cant add and subtract will take the $1.50 per mile and not complain? Loads of 46k lbs going 700-800 miles are on load board that are offering at best $950-1k for the entire load. That doesn't even cover the cost of fuel let alone tolls (if they apply to the load). Keep this video and check the rate climate before you leap into trucking, the most thankless business on the planet. For every shipper there are no less then fifteen box trucks vying for that same freight. You go figure what your chances are that you will get it and if you do get it imagine what you would have gotten paid had not that many other trucks knocked on the same door.

I have a question. I own a 2001 dump truck with removable sides. It be a flat bed truck if the all sides are removed. It could be loaded with a forklift from the sides. Also the back gate swings open and a fork lift can drive on it. The truck bed is 89” (7.5’) wide by 20’ long. It has a retractable tarp. The floor of the bed is solid metal.
What is your advice on how to use this truck. Should I use it to move flatbed type loads or box truck type loads. I am assuming the best way is probably to talk the the shippers directly and understand their concerns. But what is the best code to use to find loads on dat load board for a truck like this.
