The power of kiteloops really scare me. I tried to do them without the proper instruction and crashed of course. These lessons are really good, thank you!
ОтветитьHi mate thank you for the blogs you produce on how to kite surf I am.doing down loop transition turns but I haven't picked up the courage to jump and loop,is this a normal feeling for every one ,or am just a scarred soul ,that lacks confidence I riealy want to do one but my brain say no and i say yes I am confused i think once I do one I will be fine just with the transition jump and down loops when you are riding to the right then pull a jump and then when to go back to the left ,you always pull with the front hand at the 12oclock to downloop it back the other way to keep on riding forward out of the transition yes and when you pull the jump does it have to be at 12 o'clock when you downloop for less pull when riding off and obviously with the front hand .
ОтветитьCan you edit the description to add links to the other two videos? Right now it's actually difficult to watch them in order, and I really want to watch them all
ОтветитьDoes it matter which side of the bar you push down on to initiate the Downloop? For instance the video shows you going towards shore with right hand forward. Do you pull down on the bar on the right (front hand) or left side (back hand) to Downloop? Does it matter? TY
Ответить'pull bar IN', not 'DOWN'. a little confusing. but great video
ОтветитьBest kiteloop video ever!!! All 3 parts :) Thanks!!!
ОтветитьYou have a great coaching style. Thank you for this series
ОтветитьWhat would you say is better for kite loops 8m xr7 or 9m gts6
ОтветитьAwesome vids, looking forward to trying this out as my first steps to kite loops. Thank you!
ОтветитьGreat video well done. One question: in the example video kite is looped counterclockwise pulling on the front. I have been doing it the opposite. Is this incorrect or just another way of doing it?
ОтветитьHi Steven. Great videos!
I’m just geting into kiteloops and have bought 2 XR7:s. A 9m and a 12m. My question is: How do You trim Your kite when You go big air? I mean bridle setting and which knots on the wing tips.. Is it possible to get tighter loops and that it catches You faster?
And should I go with 20,22 or 24 m lines? What do You recommend to start with? Best wishes, Jonas 🇸🇪
hi, what size of lines do you use?
thanks
Hi Steven, thanks for the excellent video! I have been kiting for a few years (on f-one bandits) and these videos fit perfectly with my goal to improve my kiteloops. For this goal I am now also looking for new kites and doubting to go for XR of Nexus.. which do you suggest? The high-lift of the XR or the better looping of the Nexus? (I think my preference goes to the Nexus, because of the versatility).
Thanks for your advice! Cheers Anton
Awesome videos, great tips and very cool intro.
ОтветитьGreat video and a big fan! Can you explain “…take off on a 70degree angle toward the wind”?
Ответитьsick video, gonna try this
ОтветитьGreat timing! Thanks! I need to learn this gybe.
Any issues or adjustments riding a 12m (surf kite)
Where was this filmed? It looks familiar.
I tried some of my first good kiteloops on my 9m today and it was awesome! But I think I stretched my lines only on one side :/
Ответитьvery helpful, and technical video
ОтветитьNice thanks for the series. I crashed already a few times. :-)
Which bar do you using for kiteloops? The Sensor 3 pro or the wake Edition? Because i have now only the wakestyle Edition. Thx a lot
title suggestion: "Megaloop for absolute biginners!" ;)
ОтветитьReally like your videos Steven, so well explained and love the distance shots then close ups, and the step by step progressions.
On a normal jump transition, I’m able to do a jump transition with a vertical take off fairly well and get quite a lot of hang time if really pull bar in but often find I land straight back down then there’s a pause before I get going again. Wondering if I should redirect sooner or take kite back and then across zenith again ? I guess a loop may help this too ? So looking forward to to trying a loop on way down too
Thank you very much for the video. Do you think I can manage looping with my 12m XR6 w/ 24m lines ? or just to be safe go with 9m XR6 ? Thank you, all the best.
ОтветитьHey, Steven. Thanks for the video. The transition jump is actually crucial. I learned this the hard way but if you approach your jump like a transition jump and edge really effectively into the wind, you maintain optimal line tension and that makes it possible for your kite to complete a powered loop so much faster than if you are not edging well on your approach.
ОтветитьCan’t wait next episode!
ОтветитьI'm excited for this Steven! You have the best megaloops and you explain well, so I'm stoked for what's coming after this great first video.
ОтветитьThat is what I was looking for. Thanks a lot.
ОтветитьThanks Akkie! weer wat te leren! groetjes Ekke!
ОтветитьBravo, very very good and clear. I've been hesitating trying a loop, because I know it hurts when I do it wrong 🥴 I'll go out and practice your steps!
PS: nice to see the dolphin beach (?), since we can't travel there yet 🤙
Well done Steven. Very different from what others are teaching.
Greetings from Lithuania (:
yeah thanks Steven! Nice one and I was missing them :) I will be on Naxos / Greece in one week and hopefully there is wind to try it out! Have a good time in SA!
ОтветитьGreat video Steven. Keep it up! Been a long time since that trip to Bahia Salinas! Great to see youre still at it!
ОтветитьExactly what I was looking for. Thank you! 6mn (very explanatory) video and many hours of practice to follow :) keep up the great work!
ОтветитьNice! This fits exactly to my current kiteskill level, will give the downloop after jump transission a go next session. Hopefully I master this before the next upload . Take it easy Steven 😆🤙
ОтветитьVery cool video, I'm exited to see next parts!
ОтветитьYES! Stoked for this series. I've got big jumps down and small loops down now I just need to do big jumps with loops! Excited to see the final part of this series!
Ответитьwhen will the second episode be out?
ОтветитьExcellent video. Can't wait to get out and try it.
ОтветитьThis was the video I needed, the downloop I can do alrdy, but i change stance before pulling it.. now on to that looped jump transition.. thx for the video, waiting in the next one! 🤙
ОтветитьNice Steven! I can do this part, can’t wait for the next two so that I learn to avoid faceplants!!
ОтветитьAmazing execution and really good methodical approach to the topic, great job!
ОтветитьExcellent progressions. Very helpful. Big thanks.
ОтветитьExcellent, the best quality instruction I’ve seen - mixed with videos, text in video, individual text, and on land speaking; sincerely appreciated. Can’t wait for next week’s instalment! 🪂
