A truly incredible video. Great work as always!
ОтветитьAnd yet many of us live our whole lives with mercury in our mouths in our dental fillings and somehow it stays bonded in the amalgum.
ОтветитьHg is terrifying
ОтветитьWhy do u put up this shit?
ОтветитьYou are so.full of shit, mercury briefly coming in contact with hand skin does not tranfer into the body. Are u high????
ОтветитьThis and paraquat are now my new irrational (or are they?) greatest fears 🎉
Ответить今天我的朋友不按操作做实验,我就把这个视频发给了她
ОтветитьI have heard the story of KW before but not in the detail goven here!
ОтветитьBeing a chemist is awful. The job is full of risk.
ОтветитьHow did they not know back then that organic mercury would pass through the gloves used? Did they not actually test it in a clinical setting/study, and just assumed it wouldn't? And this happened in 1996? Truely baffles the mind, and a very sad story indeed.
ОтветитьWatch this channel of you want crippling anxiety for the rest of your life
ОтветитьThe eating 65 million metric tons of fresh Atlantic Salmon analogy was completely unnecessary bro.
ОтветитьShe didnt became a superhero? 😥
ОтветитьI drink a pint of organic mercury every morning and I’m fine
ОтветитьHow come when we were kids in the 60’s we used to break thermometers and play with the mercury in our hands? Never noticed any effects?
ОтветитьSuch a Karen.
ОтветитьI don't know if you've ever done an analysis on the man (sorry, I can't remember his name).
He worked with nuclear materials in Japan, and, while pouring radioactive material into a container, he was exposed to the radiation. He lived for something like 75 days. He was allowed to suffer because they wanted to see how this exposure would affect the human body.
Where do you get these visuals for your videos?
ОтветитьI already knew about this heartbreaking event... Each time I hear about it, it destroys me. Rest in Peace, dear Karen...
ОтветитьAs a boy (70 years ago) we would shine up, bare handed, silver coins with mercury taken from broken thermometers.
ОтветитьThe fact that dimethyl merc absorbs through the kind of gloves used in the lab seems like a huge oversight. They studied this kind of stuff, but no one thought about ensuring that the PPE they used every day would protect them from each of the substances they worked with?
ОтветитьWow! I wonder if this could have been caught if she had reported right away!
ОтветитьAstonishing and sad. What a horrific story.
ОтветитьIMHO she could have tried going on chloroquine (not on hydroxychloroquine), at least once a week, while continuing chelation therapy. The chloroquine (CQ) would have penetrated her brain and protected her brain cells. Once CQ's side effect of visual blurriness starts, it could be switched to hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) which could then be continued for years until the brain levels of mercury are substantially lowered.
ОтветитьI’m a chemist and her story is told to us often. Rest in peace
ОтветитьThis is why I don't drink the tap water in Midwest City, OK. Lake Draper (Midwest City's water supply) is full of mercury. I had to learn the hard way 10 years ago when I started puking nasty lake water into my mouth in my sleep.
Ответитьthank god he removed the music later on
ОтветитьDoes anyone know what type of mercury Qin Shi Huang used?
ОтветитьOutstanding informational video! What is the name and educational background of the presenter?
ОтветитьFascinating video in all other respects, but the idea that she was killed by two drops on a gloved hand (your main marketing ploy) is patently ridiculous. In your video you estimate that she has almost a pound of mercury in her body. (18 mg is 5% of total, total must be 360 mg). You don’t get a pound of mercury absorbed in your body from two drops of anything. That level of mercury requires massive prolonged exposure even to something that absorbs well.
Ответитьthat's odd. i touched a small drop of mercury when i was a kid when a thermometer broke, & nothing happened since for 2 decades
ОтветитьWhat if someone swallowed mercury from an old school thermostat 20 years ago and they're still alive and have no obvious symptoms of mercury poisoning? different types?
ОтветитьNever marry a chemist, or else you won't know how you died.
ОтветитьThe npc’s will still say vaccines are safe lol
ОтветитьAt grammar school, we used to play with Mercury on our bare hands.!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьWhen I was a kid about 40 years ago, I was broke a nurses thermometre and was pushing around the mercury globules on a flat desk, making them join together then splitting them again. How am I still alive?
ОтветитьChelation. It saved my life.
ОтветитьCilantro, naturally removes heavy metals from our system. Notice how no western Dr will ever mention this possible home remedy?
ОтветитьDon’t think it was mentioned, but I wonder if they could’ve done something/prevented the absorption. If they knew the mercury had in fact been absorbed in lethal amounts from day 1.
ОтветитьI use to play with mercury, letting it roll around my hand
ОтветитьSo, she was handling one of the most dangerous chemical substances known to man and was only wearing one pair of gloves? No shit she died.
ОтветитьWait she was so smart about this stuff but didnt think to go to the hospital after spilling organic mercury on herself?
ОтветитьThat last comment was sweet. Somewhat spiritual.
ОтветитьHere’s an interesting story that I learned from having two friends that were over exposed to Mercury. Both were neon tube benders. When creating neon, it is necessary to use Mercury in tube of different colors. Red, does not need Mercury. The purpose of Mercury is to excite the gases within the tube so they will illuminate.
One friend- who was older had to be put in a mental institution until his death. The other was exposed has a kid in his father’s neon shop. At that time the dangers were not well known. One way to rid the body of Mercury is through the skin. He had to put on a foil suit and go into a sauna. I don’t know how many times total he had to do this.
Have you heard of the character in Alice in Wonderland, the mad hatter?
In earlier times hatters rubbed the brims of hats with Mercury in order to stiffen the material. They used their hands to rub the brims. Eventually they went mad from it.
Knowing that she knew what was going to happen to her is truly sad
ОтветитьAnd she didn't know the gloves were junk.
Ответитьfascinating. sorry for K.W. Thank you for sharing her story.
ОтветитьI heard the danger of mercury is only for murcury VAPOR not LIQUID. 😊So is this total BS??
ОтветитьShe was the mother of my classmate in college. What a tragedyz
