Every so often, this movie comes up in some thread somewhere, and I feel compelled to watch the clips again
This movie sucks ass and it’s boring as hell and it’s really bad
I feel like I’m missing something or just fundamentally misunderstanding the way that people are experiencing this film
From my perspective, this movie makes absolutely no sense, the acting is bad, the writing is bad, the pacing is doll, and the ending was so anticlimactic
I cannot understand why people enjoy this movie
"He's not like you. He's not even like me."
"Nah, he don't talk as much as you, I give him points for that."
That last line always makes me laugh.
Carson is being made out as a blabbermouth but the way he scoff when Moss asks about cutting deals with Sugar should have given Moss the incentive to listen closely.
ОтветитьThis scene is all about situational irony. Carson criticizes Lleuwellyn for not realizing that Sugar could be coming for him. However, at the time Sugar is actually tracking Carson.
Ответить"No no, Youre not cut out for this"
Its insane cause he is the only one able to have even the slightest of chances, he wounded Anton and kinda damaged his pride a bit making him treat those wounds in pain, as carson said "you seen him? And you aint dead? Huh..." Just speaks volumes
If llewelyn isnt cut out for it, then imagine your chances, anton is an absolute menace to say the least, apathy at its apex, just what a hitman is
Detail: when talking about vietnan he wear off his hat. Kind of a reverance, or respect to the man who served.
Ответитьis welding brazed metal looked down upon in the welding community
ОтветитьChigurh ultimate bad ass to be fair…
ОтветитьSugar 😂
ОтветитьAnthony Sugar is his name.
Ответить"Kill your wife"
So fucking casual lol
Also - I see this and I remember Woody from cheers. Hard to believe those two characters are the same person. Harrelson can act.
Ответить"You are not cut out for this. No, no,no. You don't understand." Love it. Llewelyn figures it out about an hour later - that Carson is right - and calls the hotel. But by then ... too late.
ОтветитьChigurh like "chigger". Hard to get rid of, and you cant see him coming.
ОтветитьIf Llewelyn (who survived multiple attempts on his life) isn’t cut out for it and lasted far longer than Carson Wells, I’d hate to imagine how well I would do… I’d probably trip walking through the drug deal gone wrong parking lot and accidentally shoot my self with my own rifle. 😂
ОтветитьChigurh scares me on that scene and he is not even in the room...
ОтветитьWoody Haralson's dad is an actual convicted hitman. He has visited him a few times. Woody isn't just acting in this scene. He knows. He knows the difference in someone's eyes between a cold blooded killer and a normal person. Which is why he was perfect for this role in this movie. because he wasn't just describing Anton. He was describing his own father.
ОтветитьIncredible movie, you know that any actor getting the scripts would be so excited to be part of this
ОтветитьI believe the point Carson was trying to make when asking Llewellyn what welding he is good at was emphasising that Llewellyn was an expert at a long list in particular field.
Cherguir was just as much of an expert in his particular field.
"The Good, the Bad, and the guy that every character finds annoying even though he's the chillest guy in the movie"
ОтветитьWhen he says you're not cut out for "this", what do you think the "this" is?
ОтветитьCarson is an ex Vietnam vet turned operative and Llewellyn is also known to be an ex Vietnam survivor. I get the impression that at some point in the past Anton and Carson worked together. Is Chigurh an ex Vietnam soldier as well does anyone know?
ОтветитьI Cant stop thinking how ugly that bouquet is
ОтветитьWhy didn't detective Carson grab the money?
ОтветитьI believe Moss would have killed Anton if the cartel hadn’t found him.
ОтветитьWhen the dude said "Sugar," it had me dying! 😂😂😂
ОтветитьThe idea of Wells being mostly right but missing something is illustrated with his first words. He says “Buenas días” when it’s actually “buenos días”
ОтветитьI love the dialogue when he asks what metals moss can weld
ОтветитьSugar? Lol
Ответить“what’s this guy supposed to be the ultimate badass?” lmao
ОтветитьAs a marvel fan all I see is thanos and cletus kasady
ОтветитьCarson is trying hard to appear cool---about the predicament that he's in---but the phone rings and he jumps! Then he knows the jig is up. Anton sees it too, and smiles.
ОтветитьThis is where Thanos should have been in a hospital bed. Yes this is the guy that played Thanos for those that don't know.
Ответитьthis fucking casting is incredible. genuinely one of the most profound movies out there. i still think about how terrifying Anton Chigurh is to this day. i honestly forgot Woody was in this movie.
ОтветитьLmao Sugar?
ОтветитьAll the self assured, macho guys in this movie end up dying.
ОтветитьHow did Carson find him?
ОтветитьIf the rule you followed, brought you to this, of what use was the rule? My favorite line of all!
Ответить“You seen him? And you’re not dead?… huh….”
I love how Woody delivered that line. Says everything about Chigurh.
Even the logical experienced Carson Welles can't softly convince Lewellyn to do the right thing. However, in the end even Welles, who thinks he's dealt with people like chigur his whole life gets exposed for his foolishness and underestimating chigur.
Ответитьthat last line 😂 ill give him points for that
Ответитьthat last line 😂 ill give him points for that
ОтветитьI know it’s a movie, haha. But i’ve no idea how tracking works. How does one cowboy track another person in 3 hours? How does that work.
ОтветитьThat's one of the best dialogues in movie history. Especially because not everything is the way it seems.
Carson is not quite the person he thinks he is, and he later finds out when he meets Anton. Llewelly is tough as coffin nails but it's not enough. I think Anton represents some unforgiving fate plagueing that country, not letting any man grow old in peace, no matter how hard he is.
Llewellyn is such a dick to Carson in this scene.
ОтветитьSure as shit don't talk as much as you, I give him points for that.
ОтветитьThis is all I know about welding.
