what is the speaker output in terms of wattage?
ОтветитьYou look like someone who will randomly throw a dumpling or mantou at my face with the force of a Concord blasting through the atmosphere.
Great video though.
Very comprehensive review, very helpful
ОтветитьDid you notice any difference in clarity between the m1 macbook speakers? I returned my m1 macbook air cos the speakers sounded aweful; very muffled and unclear compared to my Intel 2013 macbook air. But the bass was great. Did the 14" macbook pro sound clearer?
ОтветитьImo there is no better speaker than that in a macbook atm for its size
ОтветитьThis review is too technical for people like me. I came to listen to some good songs coming from those laptop speakers as a comparison but it’s sad, I don’t learn a thing.
ОтветитьHi, great video. So does that mean that no macbook speakers can exceed 100db? Is this because apple wants to protect users' hearing or because a small speaker can't reach that volume level? I've heard that iPhones can reach 104db, but I'm not sure if that's true.
ОтветитьCorrection. Speakers don't give you less volume at higher listening levels, it's just that they max out the base much sooner than they max out the higher frequencies.. So what you hear isn't base getting quieter, it's higher frequencies getting louder in relation to base frequencies.
ОтветитьI can't wait to get an M1 16" MBP ... in 2032 as a used one for about $300.
ОтветитьHello Guys, my new mbp pro 16 m1 max 2021 just arrived and I wonder what's going on with bass.
Seems like it is less bass then in previous mpb pro 16 intel. New MBP bass is not so deep like before. Do you face same issues?
I was able to get more bass while using eqMac but in previous mac it was by default.
Please let me know if it is an issue or it is normal. Thanks!
this video is amazing, thx
ОтветитьHey just had a question, how does these laptop speakers compare to small bluetooth speakers, say a JBL clip or a JBL Filp?
ОтветитьSubscribed as I am a hardcore audiophile.
ОтветитьIncredible thanks for the effort you put into this
ОтветитьFinally someone who knows what I really wanna know
Ответитьmy 16" MBP and i can't stop smiling when listen to any kind of media. leagues above any other laptop speaker, and this confirms it!
ОтветитьOmg…the frequency response graphs gave a huge relief as it’s not usually found on the internet…
I just have one more question, can we use the 16” M1 Pro/Max MacBook Pro for reference in music production? For portable music production audio
Great video. Have you tested the new iPad Pros? I checked at the store and the difference is absurd. The 12.9" is way better than the 11''.
ОтветитьI'd love to see you compare a HomePod mini the the 16" M1 Max. I wonder if the laptop sounds as good or better.
ОтветитьMoving the microphone like a magic stick doesn't really help... please stop doing these videos if you do not have the room and the knowledge. It's really hard to watch without /facepalm.
Ответитьthx for this video
Ответитьnice, about time somebody did this!
ОтветитьGreat work! Extremely impressive bass extension in the 16" for the size - great engineering! I do wish they had optimized the sound to not have that broad peak centered 2.5KHz, as that can be quite irritating to listen to. I know it could arguably be an artifact of your measurement method, but IMO the way you did it - laptop on table, with MovingMicMethod - is probably as accurate of a real-world representation as it gets.
ОтветитьJoe's running out of things to test :)
Cool idea and those M1's look pretty impressive for a laptop!
Do you want to try a 2007 macbook pro cause all of the ones you have sounded way better then mine
ОтветитьGood Idea good vidéo , bravo
ОтветитьAwesome sound testing, Can I get one old air for my work?
ОтветитьFantastic video idea! The new Mac's def stepped up their audio game.
ОтветитьJoe is always one step beyond. An exceptional idea turned into an evergreen video. 👏👏👏
