I always hate to use the expression “white people” most white people are innocent and or ignorant of what they did or are still doing. I blame the founding fathers and those who decided to continue that path but in a more intelligent way. They indirectly misrepresent and misinterpret cultures they wish to mock.

So long story short: They will be offended and pissed about anything you, as a white guy, do or don't do. If you are ignoring their problems you are racist and if you try to help, then you are the negatively seen, white savior they don't want, as seen in the end. Could it be that in the end they are simply pissed about you because you are white... thus making them mild shock racist!?

This is a really foolish concern. Indians in America represent a very small minority of the population. Their numbers don’t warrant any more representation in society than they already have. Then the complaint becomes about how condescending or biased that representation is. That complaint is foolish as well because there’s nothing wrong with depicting elements of their culture such as teepees and headdresses. We need to get away from this idea that depicting elements of a culture is condescending. The artist at the end used a headdress in his art to depict the culture. How hypocritical is it to say “we can do it but you can’t?”

We role played Indians at summer camp. Truthfully, when I was a kid, I really liked it. After growing up, I realized how terrible that was. It's appropriation and it's wrong and I'm still trying to make up for that.

At times, parody is the way to penetrate "bone headiness." Seriously, having an intelligent and rational conversation on race relations in our country is a futile effort. It's the hubris of many, that do not want to either discuss or even having a normal discourse on the topic. Why, one must ask and then do some reflection on current attitudes and lack of a well rounded education. (Then again, one may get an education-but how relevant or lacking thereof-perspectives. We should be cognizant of innate behaviors molded since childhood and dependent how a child is "hard wired" determines outlook on topics of "race relations." Unfortunately, educational curriculums may not be up to task for a well rounded understanding of complicated topics, right? Diversity and isolation (say in the rural parts or even suburbia-where "affluent communities" become exclusive and restrictive due to socioeconomic barriers.

to be fair they also had a picture of a nun costume in the background, so, even nuns get sexualized and have "sexy nun" costumes sold at party city... literally, nothing is sacred.. why everything has to be eroticized, and exoticized, I have no idea, but yes, it's 100% gross, I agree.

In my stupid home town “they do this EASTER FIRES” play that was misleading as to what happened with Indians who wore living in Gillespie aka Fredericksburg TX. They told kids it was the Easter bunny coloring eggs when in reality it was war between white and Indians.

Non-white person complains about white oppression. White sympathizer sees the injustice and attempts to help. White sympathizer loses credibility with for being a “white savior.” White sympathizer backs off and allows marginalized people to defend themselves. Non-white people continue to be oppressed.
