I seen a female do this and it was not even this hard😂
ОтветитьGreat video! Thanks for posting this. It helped me a lot. 🤙
ОтветитьSo when speaking on the component speakers that came in the vw monsoon is phenomenal, but you don't need to replace them with components, the Kenwood you have right there is perfectly fine because you can either run another tweeter or just use the mid-range driver tweeter combo by itself.
ОтветитьIdeally you want to match the crossovers with the drivers as the filters would be designed around the frequency response of those drivers. By using the original crossovers with the new drivers, it may result in a dip in the measured frequency response at the crossover point, and some distortion. Great video none the less.
ОтветитьHell yeah, this was fun to watch. I wanna try this when I get some money because my front tweeter speaker is blown. So it makes music sound weird since a lot of my songs use stereo effects. RIP
ОтветитьWhat is a r32 mark 4? it's a VW, helpful for people. Now the install, good lord DON"T do what he did. NEVER EVER use factory crossovers on aftermarket components. Every speaker and tweeter has a certain crossover point. You Can and most likely blow your tweeters real quick doing so. ALWAYS use crossovers that come with the new speakers. Second NEVER just install new speakers into a Factory upgraded stereo system like the Monsoon system. ESPECIALLY the Fender system. Each speaker is specially designed for the factory amplifier. Also the factory speakers may be a different ohm. Installing the incorrect ohm load can burn up your amplifier, speakers and or might lose half of your volume. Next is NEVER NEVER NEVER run the speaker wire the way he did. This WILL cause a short. THIS video is Terrible advice.
ОтветитьMy brain hurts after watching this
ОтветитьBro why you making it look so hard😂. Just find some dam speakers that are clip and play.
ОтветитьNo idea wtf he is saying
ОтветитьI used this video to fix leaky rear speaker on mk7 golf. Thanks. The slim boom mat worked fine. Things i learned: drilling out rivets was tough, double check the speaker before you reinstall. I just put back in a broken speaker! 😅 Also totally lame VW, there was no caulking left on bottom of speaker.
Ответитьdislike bcs we dont hear them!
ОтветитьI installed kicker comps in my vw beetle glx..Now the whole door rattles..got to fix this..
ОтветитьDo i need to disconnect car battery before replacing door speakers??
ОтветитьForget it! I'll pay someone.
ОтветитьErst mal eine Richtige Tür Dämmung machen, Dann wird Der klang auch Besser???
ОтветитьGood video.. but did I miss where you installed the crossover?
ОтветитьI have a 2004 VW Passat GL Wagon 1.8T 5-Speed that is now leaving its stock class for the shows I take it to. I plan on replacing the interior Non-Monsoon front and rear components even tho they sound very well still 18 years later being ran by a Orion XTR 750.4. I also have at the moment a single CT Sounds 10" Tropo 2ohm dvc ran down to 1ohm being powered by CT Sounds 1000.1d monoblock amplifier. Because VW takes those extra steps of caution (like riveting the speakers in) I needed to purchase a 500-700amp battery isolator so i have a battery(s) in the back which doesn't affect the front and freak out. It sounds fantastic because VW had done such a tremendous job sound deadening the vehicle i dont have to do much on those terms for when i get a couple of 4ohm dvc 12s to use only when going to competitions. Leaving the 10" in there in between times. Ive still got to upgrade the alternator and purchase 2 AGM batteries to run in parallel in the back but it will be mostly complete for a fantastic summer this year. So really appreciate the walkthru. This here is one of the last big projects of my stereo setup. I also replaced the head unit with a Maxspeedingrods Q96 Android head unit and it is unbelievably helpful in a vehicle like this. Front and rear cameras be installed soon as well. Thanks again for the video.
ОтветитьGreat video, though sad you are only issuing the rear speaker project on social media, I'm not on any social media as I'm a grown up!
ОтветитьMy Mk7 just surprised me with the dreaded rear speaker leak. Although this was a MK4, your video was very helpful and informative :) thanks!
ОтветитьI’m so glad my soul ev uses screws from the factory. I had to deal with rivets on my scion xA.
ОтветитьAny suggestions to why my drivers side speakers don’t go? Have taken the door card off a few times. Have also checked all the wiring from the harness to the door. Just found out that when I earth a wire then touch the speakers they’ll go but have a humming noise in the back round when I rev my car. Mk5 gti. Could it be a can bus problem?
ОтветитьAm I missing something or did you just not install the crossovers? The whole reason I watched this video was to find the best way to wire my crossovers
ОтветитьI was thinking about changing speakers in my Passat B7, but has been scared of the possible difficulty, and because VW is VW, it shouldn't be too much of a difference between a Golf Mk4 and Passat B7
because of this video, I'm pretty sure I will save up cash to buy some good speakers to pair with a 4x80W RMS plug&play micro amp that will fit inside the dash, behind a short chassis double DIN head unit
Are you saying it would be BAD to put coaxial speakers in the door and leaving stock tweeters alone, or are you saying it wouldn't be AS GOOD as a component setup?
ОтветитьWhat model and year is the VW your working on?
ОтветитьA bit bigger.. how did nobody get that 😅
ОтветитьThanks buddy.good explain
Ответитьmaybe i missed it but you didn’t explain how to hook up the crossovers??
ОтветитьShows me everything but the most important part. How you actually install crossover to existing wires. Misleading
ОтветитьHey can I change 4 speakers in car without amplifier?
ОтветитьPhillips screws?! I wish they used the t30 torx like on the new ones
ОтветитьFun tip. Whenever you remove a door panel, when you place it back, test the door handle and the lock knob BEFORE closing the door. Share the tip
Ответитьi managed to just remove the "metallic net" of the speaker and change it from there, no need to take the entire door and cables out.
ОтветитьEveryone forgets the Phillips #2 screw in the door panel by the tweeter and shatters the screw mount in the tweeter housing.
ОтветитьA little surprised you didn't test them before putting the panel back on. IF anything is wrong, you don't have to remove it a second time.
ОтветитьVery good video nice details
ОтветитьWhere do I get the adapter wires? No splicing for me
ОтветитьI hate rivets so much
ОтветитьOk so I'm changing my speakers on my 12 vw Passat and on my back doors the hookup has 4 wires instead of 2
Ответитьits just a volkswagen and you forgot the spacer for the speaker lock on the facktory speaker ! and second this dors is the same on volkswagen Bora/Golf/passat/jetta so you arent so got at Volkswagen i will not recoment your way to install Always use spacers so you keep the spacing as facktory !! you do never need to change out the twitter if its work when a twitter is bad its just dont make sound i work All doy whit these and how you so far install these
Ответить"Something Else that works really nice" and you just know... oh too bad i dont have that.
ОтветитьL
ОтветитьWhat is the name of thes car pleas??
ОтветитьIf you put the speakers in upsides down dose the sound come out backwards 😂
ОтветитьWondering how I'd splice into the connection that goes before the crossover. I'm upgrading to coaxials and don't want to lose any high frequencies
ОтветитьWhere did you find the speaker adapter harness?
ОтветитьThe louder the beater = the smaller the peter.
ОтветитьThe music is going to be upside down. Great.
ОтветитьMine are going to my old stock wire that runs to the radio I’m also installing the radio but everything is going to run off my amps
Ответить
