London Transport Museum - The Lucky Needle

Step inside The London Transport Museum with John of The Lucky Needle! After a short trip in a time machine we begin our journey in 1800, where you could not only catch a ride in a carriage drawn by a horse, but also by actual car men! From there see how trains steamed past horses and led to London’s Underground Tube! While you’re down in London’s Hidden Underground, “Mind the Gap” and see the important role the Tube has played in other areas of London’s history. Then hop on to the Red Double Decker Bus to learn more about this iconic mode of public transportation that we still use today.

While staying in the city of London, we found there was a lack of car culture, perhaps due to the winter climate and large population, and everyone in the cold crowded city seems to ride the Tube. After some searching for other automotive upholstery attractions, we literally took the Tube to The London Transport Museum to learn more about this city’s use of public transportation throughout history and how it has shaped the surrounding car culture.
