Cool stuff. I’m sure you are aware of the ARRL. If your viewers aren’t they should check it out.

I would love a walkthrough of your listening setups and honestly, any network you operate! This was very interesting!

Any tricks to improve your cell phones Bluetooth antenna ? I have the miccus home Rtx but can only use it in receiving mode. I wanted the antenna to work for transmission as well as receiving. 😄

Excellent explanation! I have a Teac (ICE) stereo amp that has a little totally enclosed Bluetooth antenna on the back of the unit. I duck-taped a "half wave" wire with a small coil on the wire to the little plastic antenna box . This seems to extend my laptop range. Thanks!!

Thank you for sharing. I will sub too. I am looking for a way to listen to a FM radio station while cutting grass. I can use my phone but I'd kinda like to leave it's battery alone ya know. I've been looking for the best long range extenders and such and came across this video. Thank you again.

Would this work with both Bluetooth and WiFi signal? Because the removable antennas which came with my pcs pcie WiFi/Bluetooth combo card sucks.

Not "incredibly boring" - exactly what I was looking for really. Do you still rate your old school Miccus RTX 2.0 as being the best range out of anything you've tried? I might grab one, because I need "ruthless" range.

Hello, can you count 2 mobile phones and transfer photos and videos?

I thoroughly appreciate this video because this stuff is hard to understand and you lay it out as plain and simple as one can, thank you.

I am trying to achieve something very unconventional where I can play my game console in 3 different rooms. Each tv is about 20-25ft from the console. Video is distributed through a splitter and the console is gonna be modified to have external SMA connectors to have an external antenna, so that I can increase the wireless controller range.

Currently this setup works totally fine in two rooms with the unmodified console. However, when playing in the third room (the living room) the game controller has intermittent issues. I believe the issue is that between the living room and the room where the media rack & console is, there is a fridge/metal support beam/boiler between the two. Since the other rooms are about the same distance from the console and work fine, I’m assuming the issue is primarily the interference of those objects when sitting in the living room.

Do you think a pair of these antennas would be appropriate in my case or should I look at something else?

Thank you for this. Always wondered about if just because a antenna being longer does it give you better distance
Maybe sometimes

Thank you for video! Great info! My next question is could I use a splitter and put another antenna 25-50 feet so I can place it outside and leave one antenna inside? Have you tested that?

Also do you recommend a good mount that you can buy when you use that little extension? I love to get that antenna on the outside of my Sterio cabinet

As far as the long range goes- have you tested any other style 2.4 antennas such as a moxon, helical, pepperbox style, pagoda, etc? They're being sold for fpv frequencies but the bluetooth frequency is dead in the middle of their bandwidth. The miccus extended one is just an improved dipole that really isn't that much better than the shorty one it came with.

I got here to decide if it would be worthwhile to buy a BT dongle with the 'long range' antenna, as my PC's internal BT adapter seems to have rather poor range: I've always used only wired kbds and mice so far, but my new set is BT and...it looks like it gets connection problems when my cat decides to lie between the desktop and the keyboard! :-) So thanks for the review, I'll order one (the dongle, not another cat).
