In my first pregnancy, we couldn't turn my baby and I ended up having to have a c section because of that... I'm in my second pregnancy, 31 weeks now and the baby is also posterior! Working from now to try to turn this baby around!

Im 39 weeks and 5 days. My baby is posterior and is causing my labor to not start. With my first, my water broke and she descended in my pelvis during active labor. Gave birth to her sunny side up. Hoping to turn this baby tonight to get labor going.

I have a question, i finally got baby in anterior position, but can the baby go back to posterior position after all these efforts? can i keep doing the exercises to ensure it remains in the anterior position or will i accidentally flip it back to posterior? thanks in advance for answering

Just found you! I’m 38 weeks and my baby is OP. I was hoping to be further along by now but my cervix is far from ready. So I am going to be trying all of these to turn my baby so she can really start to engage in my pelvis and get things moving, thanks for your help! 🙏🏽🙏🏽

I am currently pregnant with number 7. I have had 5 OP babies naturally. I’m 38 weeks and baby is still posterior so I’m trying it all and am headed to the chiro Friday as well.

To prevent induction I followed everything mentioned and BOOM water broke the next day.

May I add that baby was originally not in the right position but turned in time for labour! Very thankful!

Sarah, thank you so much for your videos. Last week I had an ultrasound (week 37) and the baby was ahead down but facing my belly. I've been doing exercises based on your videos, and today (week 38) I was told that he's facing my back. I can be a bit cautious taking advise from a 'stay at home mom for whom things worked', but knowing that you're a L&D nurse who has medical background and works with pregnant women all the time, makes me trust your suggestions on how to make things better. Your work is appreciated.

Lay on a hardwood floor! If all else fails like it did with me, lay on a hardwood floor with a couch pillow between your legs and another under your head for a few minutes!

I wish I knew this before. The only way I could cope with back labor induced using pitocin, was to sit on the toilet in squatting position. Eventually I grew tired and asked for epidural. The nurse came in repeatedly to move me back in the same position. After 32 to 33 hours I consented to c section. The baby had started OP but ended up turned sideways. I shouldn't have stayed squatted so long...

Now i can't stop reapeating to myself "Motion is Lotion" .. i have 3 kids already, going to have the 4 one.. my first 2 i had epidural because i was in Europe, but now that i live in Japan they don't really do epidurals here in my city so i remember when i was 8 to 10 cm, already with my water broken i had huge labor pain on the back bone of my back.. and i was screaming so much , and i knew whitout that back bone pain i could tolerate the pain, and i was already in the delievery table so they woudn't let me move anymore even tho i was screaming for them to let me be at least be on the side cause it helped like 5 % :D i really know my body very well but i wasn't that informed about the posterior side of things.. and i used the ball and everythign anyway.. but in the end i ddn't had the chance to move anymore.. so i hope i can get this time the antior before going to the delievery table
Thank you so much

It's a good informative vedio, one of my is trying these exercises since many days , but no results, the baby is still breech, the doctor said the baby's head is a little bigger thus there is no option other than c section. Is there anything else we could do?

I have a question! My baby was head down with back along my left side the majority of my pregnancy. But the stinker is now head down but back along right side at 37/38 weeks. I have heard that because the baby rotates clockwise this is not an ideal position, so I’ve been trying to get baby back on the left side. Lots of leaning forward exercises and lying on left side for sleep etc. 1) is it possible for them to flip to left side again? Or do they have to rotate clockwise into that position even pre-labor? 2) should I delay “engagement” exercises until after baby flips? Is there risk in engaging the head in pelvis when back is along the right side still?

You are right that there’s not much info online about this stuff! And sadly my midwife hasn’t really paid much attention to concerns about positioning thus far.

I have to say this video was amazing. At lunch time my baby was posterior. I started these exercises at about 4pm around the time regular contractions started. I continued them during contractions. I got to the hospital and was 8cm and baby had turned. Baby was born at 8.44pm with no complications. My shortest labor by far!
