Well we know it is a flat-plane crank and not a cross-plane crank. Sounds kinda european, but heard the American note at the end. Kind of strange because yes it might be a flat-plane, but it is also a pushrod V8, so I assume we will get a F1/nascar sound mix which will be ... IDK ? .... 🤔

2022?? that's the year I graduate.... and I plan on going to the Air Force for 4 years.... I hope I can afford to put a downpayment on this while I am actually in the service cause this thing sounds and looks like it is gonna be amazing , I just hope chevy sticks with the 60k starting price cause if they make this supercar cost then it will be pretty disappointing for a lot of people.

We don't need superchargers like Ford: GM adds superchargers. We don't need a Pony Car like Ford: GM introduces the Camaro. We don't need DOHC like ford: GM introduces DOHC engines. We don't need a flat plane V8 like ford: GM adds a flat plane DOHC.

I just saw a pair of these camo'd vettes at a facility in Ohio that's know for engineering electric motors and controllers for GM. I also saw a bolt at this facility camo'd a similar way a few years before the bolt came out.

Why do they have to reduce the displacement? Why not a 7.0L flat plane crank with DOHC/32v? Since they are making a very expensive and complicated engine anyway, how much more would it cost to throw a few more cubes on it and dominate? Somebody please explain. Thanks!

Thats the sound of a flat plane crank and DOHC 32 valve heads with the firing order altered so it sounds like an exotic as opposed to fords flat plane that sounds completely different ,still American muscle sounding.

Not that I didn't love the 5.2 flat plane from Ford but I'm glad this one actually sounds like a flat plane V8
