I love the analog dash along with the fact that it is one of the few 600's that have a fuel gauge. The only thing missing is a gear indicator which you can get aftermarket. The new redesigned dash is nasty and basically taken from the 1000RR which is going to be one of the main reasons I will never get one. 2008-2018 is where it will always be.

The fact that you said the cbr has no character really hurts because you know…it’s literally styled like the rc211v that is considered one of the most beautiful motogp bikes ever😅

2020-23 CBR 650r is one of the best looking middleweight bikes out there. Years before that? Yeah, no. Pretty tame. Compared to a lot of other 600cc bikes though, the CBR's torque doesn't show up until like, 7-8krpms, unlike a bike like the R7 where all your torque is at 5 rpms.

Agreed, I'm learning on an old 600cc without any of the fancy electronics too and it seems to be going well so far. I'm probably being overly cautious at times, but I can definitely feel myself getting more comfortable and I love having a little bit of power for times when I do feel confident. Highway speeds feel really good (other than wishing I had cruise control) and I did the interstate for a few minutes the other day just to try it. I hated being around those semi's and the turbulence they create but it was plenty manageable because of the slightly larger, heavier, 600cc as opposed to the smaller 3-400cc's I was looking at originally. One day, I hope to get a newer 600+ with more features and creature comforts. Hell, depending on how far away that is, I may just look into a leader bike and call it a day. Lol

I agree with you with the Daytona 675. There was so much hype when they came out and I loved the way it looks. Thank God I test drove not 1, but 2, because I brought it back and said " something is wrong with this one" it just pulls weak! Like a moped compared to my 1st 636 back then. I did end up with a 600RR though at 1 point because I traded in my gsxr1000 and got RR and a Z1000. I love the newer 636 though it's just a beast❤

I have a Triumph 675 Daytona. It's fast first gear 75 mph before changing into 2nd gear. So Don't give your Opinion if it's ugly . U really don't get out much seeing who rides what. But that's okay u r married so I understand.

A friend gave me a 1989 Cbr600 that needs a new frame and a few minor parts. Im really excited to put it back together and on the road. 2007 zx6r and up and any r6 below 2017 in my opinion are ugly asf because of the thin windscreen (for both) and fat front (for the r6). 2017 r6/r1 are one of the most beautiful bikes i’ve ever seen.
