Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem Trailer

September 8, 2012 12:30 PM - Behold a unique genre: the "psychological thriller". As the player's "sanity meter" drops, both the character and player will question what is real and what is merely in their head. Characters will react to their environment according to their mental state.

"Even as the door swings open you know something is terribly wrong. The creaking sound seems too loud, magnified by your fear, perhaps. By the light of a lone candle you see a small study, filled with books and scattered papers. And shadows. Too many shadows.

Your heart rate doubles, triples. Dark shapes dance in your periphery but disappear when you whip your head to look at them. Suddenly the room seems smaller, darker, and there are more noises now...whispers and inhuman giggles dripping with malice. The fear consumes you."
