2012 with 130k. Did delete and mild tune. Been a great work truck for me. Tow with it every day

I got a used 16 lml with 22k miles back in 2018, first thing I did was take it to dans for cp3 swap and dpf delete. 2024 approaching and she sits at 340k miles with 0 issues

Sounds like my LMM [2010] was a good choice. I deleted it last year and had a tow tune added. It runs great!

Great video i personally have had both the lb7 and now currently the LLY and my lb7 had both the head gaskets go and injectors, 2nd time injectors went so i went to get a different truck still have the lb7 just dont drive it anymore
My LLY is one of the best trucks ive owned as long as you keep the coolant stack cleaned and do the obvious upgrades including mouth peice i havent had any issues got 287k now bought it with 212k just had egr plug up so that will be addressed this week

My lly has now over 3 hundred k. Arp studs.4094 turbo with afe inlet. Ppe lift pump.mike loverich stage 4 tranny.efi live tuneing. Stil running stock injectors and cp3. Diesel kleen in every tank of fuel always. Amsoil fluids throughout. It runs very cool and eficient. Id say runs better than new stil but def needed the issues addrresed. Oh and no egr . No cat and pcv reroute. Do these things and they run forever

Lml. A fuel pump lol. Thats it. Hardly any other hiccups anywhere. If you get an lml. Get one built in flint michigan. Sticker on drivers door. They're built better there than Canada. I have a 2011 3500hd lml. Srw. Love it. Best thing ever. No engine lights even at 190k.

Not disputing what you are saying but, I own a 2015 LML Duramax. I purchased it new and have 228,000 miles on the truck. I have always changed the oil and filters when required. The only issue I have had are the left side glow plugs switch has failed twice and the oil pressure sending unit had recently failed. Other than that, no problems.

Does the air dog water & fuel filters, work with the fass system??

Love my LB7 after I paid a fortune for injector upgrade. Hated my LML until I found a shop to do a full delete on it

I just bought a 05 LLY Duramax

Lly just needs bigger radiator ,turbo horn, and intake. Ive had a 05 lly for 5 years has 230k now and is tuned and deleted i live in Miami,FL pull trailers often and on a 90 degree day wont reach 190 degrees

I have my first 05 LLY with 143 on it not deleted no tune I recently did fuel lines new fuel cooler brand new aluminum radiator new turbo inlet i no that diesel come with problems but i hope for the best for this bsing my first on

What I also want to see is someone that makes all wiring look show ready. I want to see it look even cleaner than stock. I havent seen this yet and would love to see it so I know what I need to do on mine. The challenge is you have a group of wires that’s 1” thick then smaller groups of wires then down to double or single wires. The challenge is also the places where the wires split. Sometimes it’s a 4,3,2 or 1 way split and would love to see an artist make wiring look incredible

I will say that the LBZ the best Duramax due to it being an LLY with better head gaskets and the intake air boot to turbo is larger. They LLY is also the best once the heads are studded and larger intake boot as well as a larger down pipe. Any years that take DEF fluid is just a huge headache so I can’t favor those due to emission issues

Just buy an older Cummins with no emissions I own a 2003 gmc 1ton dually duramax and I own a 2001 dodge 2500 Cummins and I can say the Cummins is easier to work on and runs a lot better than the duramax plus it don’t need glow plugs to start no crappy aluminum heads just an all around better motor dodge does have there issues thought just easier to fix and cheaper don’t forget the infamous dowel pin failure on the duramax as well cheap skates can’t cut a woodruff key slot instead they install a pin?? What a joke

I am 17 and i just bought a 2001 chevy duramax and it only has 102k miles on it and they said it was serviced every 5k miles did i get a good buy i payed 6k for the truck and its really clean

if i had deeper pockets i’d sell my lb7 and buy a l5p

I have a 2016 LML with 77,000 mi what’s the fix ? A new M3 bosh injector pump , or an air dog lift system , I also saw where an after market fuel pressure sensor keeps the catastrophic failure from taking out the fuel rails and injectors, I have been adding fuel additives, ( Hot Shots LX4 ) thanks for any help in my dilemma

Replace the injectors in an LB7 with the Bosch Re-designed SAC style injectors and you're fine.

Love my lb7 and lml.. love my lml for the frame/brakes/integrated brake controller and I love my lb7 because I never have to worry about legal emissions stuff since they came without a dpf/egr/def

i own a duramax it sounds good but the power strokes with straight pipes have the best sound it sounds like a roaring hot rod

Great video, im in the market for a used 3/4t truck. Looking at the better fuel option, and not finding super awesome things said about any of the big 3 trucks in my 15k price range. From what im gathering the lly is probably going to be my best bet with air inlet, bigger rad swap, and a lift pump.... so roughly $2300 to start if i find a good stock lly?

I have both the 2005 LLY and a 2013 LML. The LLY has been a great truck, but it's now nearing 300K on the odo, and it does heat up when pulling my toyhauler uphill. Didn't know about the CP4 on the LML. Now I'm going to be nervous. The other suckky thing about the LML is the T14/A50 TCM. Mine failed a few weeks ago, and none available. Apparently another common failure. Still love both of them

Liftpump & fuel additive like hot shot EDT lml will live a long time. Knock on wood 😂

I love my LBZ with 116k Air dog pump EFI Live 4" piped and deleted. I use fuel additive and change my oil every 4-5 k. Going to keep it forever.
