What's the point of Adobe Bridge?

Are you with this video assuming that Bridge is free to use without a plan and monthly payments?
I have heard that Bridge should be available for free without Adobe Camera Raw and an active plan. Apparently that has been the case earlier. According to such information we only need an account with Adobe, which is free. I can't verify that at the moment, for I have just ended my paid plan for Photoshop, Bridge and ACR, and if I try to delete Bridge and download it again, it just reinstall as a part of the plan - running out in two months. I am not leaving Adobe because I don't like the products, but to safe the money by using free or cheaper alternatives.
I can confirm that Bridge is a sufficient organizer. I have used it since PS 3.
