In this video we strip down and service a pretty run-down Seiko Automatic watch based on the 7S26 movement.
Ответитьthis movement costs ~ $90 USD, probably more cost efficient to order it new and replace it. Am I right?
ОтветитьAs an amateur watchmaker, it is truly humbling to watch you do something in seconds that it takes me ~15 minutes to do. Thanks for your videos.
ОтветитьRealy learning package
ОтветитьI want to ask how to correct the time of my seiko 5...?🥺🥺🙏🙏🙏
Ответитьcan you repair my watch?i am from Indonesia
ОтветитьSir, where can I buy that small cross screw driver? What size of screw driver should I buy? Please help me.. I cannot move forward.
ОтветитьI want to send a watch for servicing please tell me how to send it
ОтветитьHi mark what tool are you using to take off the dia shock springs.I have a lot of trouble reinstalling them.if you have any tips I would love to hear them.
Ответить❤ seiko
ОтветитьMine is still running perfectly after 30+ years. Excellent video. Thank you.
ОтветитьI just bought my first watch, and it has this movement. Any advice on how to keep it in perfect condition through the years? how often should automatic watch movements be serviced?

ОтветитьExcellent video. I just want to ask if watch keep on stoping and it runs if we hit in palm then does it mean balance wheen is not charging via rotor or fork is not moving hair spring. instead of disassembling whole watch what do you suggest to look at main problematic area. Thanks
ОтветитьGreat work, brother, i am from Pakistan, and my favorite watch was thrown by my nephew from upstairs to down floor, and I want this watch to get repaired, what will be the charges for repairing my Seiko 5...???
ОтветитьUsing this video in reference to my first ever watch restoration also a Seiko automatic
Ответить基盤の造りが雑である。
ОтветитьGreat vid thanks. The watch face on my Seiko 7s26 keeps spinning out of center. Do you have any tips repairing this? Thanks again
ОтветитьVery competent - thanks for sharing
ОтветитьI have this watch right now with me it's for sure 15 years + old i don't exactly how old it is , my grandfather died 10 years ago and my grandma gave me this watch and it was not at a working condition and i was a small kid at the time it used to work occasionally when there was movement but later i kept the watch in my drawer and didn't used it much and i once took it again and it was a bit loose so I made it a little tight to fit my hands and after using for sometime again I kept it back into the drawer and now as I'm 20 I now realised this is a great watch and it actually costs more than some usual watches is there anyway I can make it work or I can sell it?
ОтветитьNice 👍💝🇵🇰
ОтветитьThank you for your time patience and sharing of knowledge.
Ответить@WatchRepairChannel , thanks for the nice video and tutorial. Can you tell me which type of screwdriver did you use to remove the date dial guard screw (B)? the one with the cross head.
ОтветитьMark, as always, wonderful video and very informative! What oils did you use for the Seiko? I ask as I have a number of them and they always tell you to use their oils, but most people have the Moebius oils, so just curious what you used and/or what is the conversion chart for the Seiko oils to Moebius . Thanks!
ОтветитьAbsolutely amazing
Ответитьi need to get a Seiko 7s26 0540 fixed like this, do you have a website?
ОтветитьHi can i set the time in counterclockwise direction in automatic watches or will it ruin the movement?
ОтветитьI have an SNK809k-1 with the 7s26 movement arriving tomorrow. This is quite fascinating to watch as a result ;)
ОтветитьBeyond my brain
ОтветитьJust ordered an SNKL45J1. Now I know what's inside! Thank you.
ОтветитьKuya salamat sa video mo kakatapos ko lng manuod.. ask ko lang po, sa ngayon po kaya magkano singil kung magpa repair din po ako ng ganyan na seiko5 7s pareho din problem po. Naka sub npo ako now
ОтветитьThis has got to be the most suspenseful movie I've ever watched. If I did this it would be a horror movie
ОтветитьWhat size is the cross headed screw driver? I can’t find one please
ОтветитьVery good work without the drama. I have an old seiko 5 with 7s26 and would like to have a go? Love this content thank you.
ОтветитьWhat size/type of winder did you use? I have a few 12 year old seikos that I want to tear down and rebuild
ОтветитьI notice the use of plastic parts in the Seiko 5 movement, connected with the calendar wheels. Is that for a special reason? I understand that Omega & Rolex also include plastic parts too?
ОтветитьWhat's that playdough thing hes using? Expensive ? What i can use in its pl?ace
ОтветитьI think this seiki 5 is from mid to late 2000s, that's why it's so unreliable. I have a very old one that's been running all this time without any service
ОтветитьI use wooden toothpicks to remove gunk. What's that pencil you're usung?
ОтветитьV.Nice 🌹
Seiko5 7s26 the best watch
I am using since 2015
i have a seiko 5 i love your content is it possible that you can clean and service even if i am here in the Philippines?
Ответитьre lefthand thread screw, were the 3 lines/stripes on the screw head to let you know it was LHthread?
ОтветитьMy father has a Seiko 5(not sure which) it's functional but it gains like probably more than 10 mins.. earlier I set the time late and now it's advance without me adjusting it. I bet it can probably gain a hour in 2 days.
I like the watch but I don't know anyone from my country that can service or repair it
A very good video. But you are missing the most important part, the cleaning procedure. That is the purpose of the video. Even if it just showing for 30 seconds the baskets spinning in the machine and any hand cleaning, etc. Thanks… :)
Ответитьobviously close to the 4R3x/NH3x (since preceeding it :no winding and no hack) ...
are there compatible elements between them ? (i know the stem is different but some of the other parts look soooo close ...)
What exactly was worn on this movement apart from the mainspring?
ОтветитьI’m about to strip down my first movement, a 7S26 like this, and I can see I’ll be referring to this video repeatedly. It’s a non-working movement, so if I can coax it into life then great and if not, I’ll get experience and spare parts out of it!
ОтветитьI have noticed that everyone of the watch repair channel's I watch. They call have a different approach to watch repair and content
ОтветитьSimply excellent. I am a watch enthusiast I am keeping as a future guide for repairing mine. Thank you 😊.
ОтветитьI would contend that a lot of these could use a service right after manufacture.
