Melding his love of nature and his talent as a gardener and teacher, David King has forged a life enthusiastically teaching people a way gain an intimate association with the soil, fresh food and our spiritual connection to our environment. Drawing on his 50 years of gardening
experience and his love of plants and food, he is one of the leaders in the Los Angeles Urban Agriculture movement. He is the founding
chair of the Seed Library of Los Angeles and he teaches growing food for ULCLA and UC Extension. Daily he shows up at the Learning Garden on the grounds of Venice High School where he is the Gardenmaster. His first book, Growing Food In Southern California (and other Mediterranean Climates), is expected out some time before our grandchildren leave college. He plans on entering his rhubarb pie in the county fair this coming Fall.
