You are so busy and very talented as well. I have seen a few of your videos but being kind busy as well I haven't followed like I wanted to. I recently found your videos with Seki Sensei. My wish is to visit Japan some day, my late mother was from Fukuoka. Living in rural Wisconsin I never got to learn about Japanese culture so I was attracted to your channel. Be healthy, enjoy your family and I look forward to April. Until then I can binge watch and catch up while I continue to play with swords.

I've wanted to go to Japan my whole life. I love your channel because I can get a great inside view of Japan. I was just wondering if you would be able to cover Sumo and it's history. I know you won't be back for a while but a guy can hope. I actually took up learning Japanese just to be able to watch Sumo and would love to learn more about the history. Anyhow either way, I love your channel and am looking forward to your families return.

Shogo-san, you and your family are already extremely busy with your regular lives and your children. We enjoy your videos when you make them, but you have more than enough content to keep us entertained and informed. Please continue to keep doing what you're doing and enjoy your life. I'd recommend an old family remedy to get your youngest to sleep; a porridge bottle at night with rice cereal and warm milk mixed together will fill his stomach and help him sleep.

I do think, target stress is the worst. Take your time and maybe do a bit more colabs and just take the time. April is maybe a nice moment but you got a sub from me just for this. Dont put pressure stay creative and enjoy the process. And the kids are family and that's is inportant.

Never feel bad for life getting in the way. Any rational person would completely understand

We've got 2 boys aged 2 and 4 and completely understand! It's absolute chaos and an extremely demanding job that you don't get paid for and if you don't have family to help can be extremely isolating and draining.

Shogo-san couldn't make videos because he is busy re-populating Japan.

My point of view has always been that when people decide to get married or have children, then their priorities shift. I venture to guess that this main channel is one of the biggest successes, if not the biggest success, of your life, and that's primarily due to the people who believed in you, followed you, and supported you. All of that has caused you to reach a level of success not otherwise possible in the field you are in. To neglect that in lieu of other channels and activities while at the same time admitting that you've been neglecting your own family seems -- and I'm saying this as lightly as I can -- like a misplacing of priorities. I can't believe even for a moment that it's impossible or even difficult for you to hire one or two local people to help you pick up the slack on this channel, if you are wanting to keep doing the other things you've got going plus spend quality time with your family. I think that it's not a legitimate reason to say that children and other work is keeping you from what brought you your bread and butter, when you've obviously been giving the resources to pick up that slack so that you don't neglect your children -- or even primary supporters. It may be a solution to wait until kids are in school so that more time is freed up, but right now the issue appears to be a mix-up of priorities. Doesn't it seem kind of sad to say "I need more time with my children" while simultaneously saying "My children are the main reason I'm not making videos here"? Those kids are going to be spending a lot more time away from home soon, and that's not going to solve the attention-seeking issues the children have -- it may even make them worse, depending on the quality interaction they're able to get with you outside of daycare/babysitters.

I'm a father of one daughter and she was taken away by her mother just when she turned 7. She never had "terrible twos" with me because from the time she was 1 she and I were like best buddies. We did everything together and my own wife, her mother, was even jealous of how well we got along. When my wife left and took her from me, it broke my heart. Now, my daughter is having "terrible twenties," because as an adult her heart has been hardened against me by her mother, who has been so horrible. I myself am the second and middle son of 3 kids, with a younger sister. My parents and siblings used me as a dumping ground -- the family scapegoat. I spent nearly all my time alone because to be around them meant neglect or trauma. This is what happens when people start having kids and don't put their priorities together correctly. If we don't focus on our children in a proper, balanced way, then there's no telling how deep the damage will be -- and it lasts a LONG time, unless they are lucky enough to figure out how to dig into themselves and fix what's broken. But even then, can it ever truly be completely fixed?
I suggest you think again about what you can cut out so that your children can be moved up to #1, and then place at #2 that which supports and sustains your life. Any extra time can be filled after that. No need to make excuses for us -- I recommend you just prioritize and do the right thing for your family.

Shogo , dude , I love your stuff . but man , your family comes first . Do whats best for you and your family . we will wait for the next video , but it better be Epic .
