the randy police officers in Japanese anime are so much fun to watch. they basically just make a lot of noise and progress is not so forthcoming because there are lots of characters with superpowers.

I have the full OVA, 1080 HD.... It's great.... apart from that I have Tatsunoko vs Capcom... Thanks to that game I knew this anime... he is one of my team.

If you don't understand the story from 1st and 2nd movies, then you should re-watch it 2nd time. The story of the characters is amazing, the fight scenes are awesome, it is one of the best OVA's I've seen in a long time.

Karas. It's like Bayonetta. The story makes fuck all sense, but DAMN does it look pretty.

(cont'd) The background theme of balance between humans and spirits, and how technology is throwing it out of whack, is pretty interesting, and the cyborg rendering of classical monsters from Japanese mythology like Nue and Wanyudo is just plain cool. Throw in imaginative, beautiful fight scenes and some shocking moments, and you have some great entertainment.

I don't find the story of Karas to be that bad. It's confusingly revealed, and packs quite a lot of events into short scenes and flashbacks, but it becomes clear once you watch the show a second time (or read a wiki). It helps to know that each city has a spirit (Yurine) which grants powers to a human to become its guardian (Karas).

is this like part of an anime series or manga or something? When I watched it I felt like I was missing some context.

I'll give you a yes! You can find the blu-ray 1080p format for download on the internet. This anime won't let you down! Karas, Comming! The fighting scene are bloody awesome! Some of the monsters are really creepy and scary!
