Haeundae Beach is the most popular beach in Busan. In summer, it is famous for being the busiest beach with tourists flocking from all over the country.

It has long been famous as a tourist attraction. Haeundae was named after Choi Chi-won (AD 857-908), a writer during the Unified Silla Dynasty, who admired the scenery here, from his penname, Haeun.
