"addgroup app && adduser -S -G app app" i know it creates a user name "app" and adds it to a group name "app", but naming is terrible, wouldn't it be better to name it to something like "app_user" and "app_group" ?

If this command (docker run -p 5173:5173 -v "$(pwd):/app" -v /app/node_modules react-docker) not work for you and docker not show changes, use this command (docker run -p 5173:5173 -v "$(pwd):/app" -v /app/node_modules -e CHOKIDAR_USEPOLLING=true react-docker)

and also add these 2 lines at the end of compose.yaml
environment:
- CHOKIDAR_USEPOLLING=true
