WATCH THIS before you start self-studying Chinese

I speak mandarin at home 😂😂😂😂😂 easy for me. But I can’t read and write - I only know a few characters.

I prob can just self learn everything without a teacher and get to hsk 5 easily!

Tip #6 is my "go-to." I don't even watch American television anymore. The day that I was finally able to watch an entire episode without "cheating" i.e. glancing at subtitles, was a major milestone for me. The only drawback-I am now obsessed with Zhao Lusi. She is adorable.

I use anki for my flashcards, and for memorizing sentences I usually make cards where you have to type the answer, so I have the sentence in spanish (my native language) and I have to type the translation in mandarin.

Would ytou still recommend taking hand written notes? or just digital since majority of input would be through pinyin and a keyboard on the phone or computer?

You guys could learn Chinese characters, I feel that I can learn any languages.
