I've had 2 jobs in the past in the plastics industry and it's worth billions, they won't stop and listen to the likes of me and you too much money involved.

90% of plastic products are made in China Almost ALL plastic products are made in Asia! Nothing will change without legal standards together with consumer attitude change. How can we fix our plastic waste problem? Easy to answer: Eat all the plastic and your problem solve. Got it.

The plastic waste problem was caused by governments and their friends who own the large corporations. Most people did not want it.

Ban non bio plastics completely, and heavily subsidize plastic companies so they can use green materials without losing all their profits. The only way to fix this is to incentivize the large corporations making all this stuff. Ban it and let tax dollars bridge the gap. Even if prices go up a few % for the consumer, using glass and aluminum instead of plastics for example, it will be worth it. Honestly the gov should be funding the innovations of new replacement materials, and then opening up the patents and sharing with the large plastic producers, make it easy on them and don't give them an option.
