Thank u! Really needed this🧡
ОтветитьThis is really helpful! Ive just started learning learning bsl with my class!
ОтветитьAbsolute beginner here - just wondering if it matters which hand you use for one handed signs such as "what?" or "Sorry" etc ?
ОтветитьI am watching at half speed and that also is really helpful for the first few times, to really get the hand positions correct.
ОтветитьYou know when I'm doing signs like good morning does it matter what side I start from left to right or right to left?
ОтветитьI'm trying to learn even the basics for the moment due to our postman being deaf, I feel the need to at least be able to say hello how are you to him. Always a mix of thumbs ups when handing me stuff and that's it.
So this video is perfect!
Thanks a lot <3
ОтветитьWelcome?
ОтветитьReally helped with a deaf customer thanks so much
ОтветитьThank you going to try this and my name is Dan fantastic 😅
Ответитьthanks Dan!!
ОтветитьAre please and thank you the same sign apart from the lip reading?
ОтветитьWow as a deaf/ HoH guy , l find this good & bad why because hearing
people may be not understand s/ l.
I think the letter K should be thumb
& finger spread apart , rather than
using two finger to spell the letter k.
Thank you.. I'm learning the basics because of my job and this is a huge help. Please keep posting
ОтветитьSeriously looking for someone to practice BSL with me, I know no one from the community and I am not even from UK.
ОтветитьHow do you say good afternoon sir
ОтветитьThank you now I can talk to my friend
ОтветитьThanks for creating such easy to follow videos.
ОтветитьBeen teaching my GF some sign language for her 3 deaf swimming child students. And someone actually complained she was signing to these kids. Not they where the incorrect signs just she was signing. Just goes to show ignorance of some people.
ОтветитьDan is hot. Dan is hot. I'm practicing that for when I meet him!. You are a gorgeous guy and I've just subscribed. I have my own little barbers shop and one of my customers is deaf and I would like to be able to at least say hello, ask how he is, and say thank you and goodbye. We are able to communicate but I'd like to learn some accurate BSL for him. I want to make the effort. Thank you Dan for your clear tuition x
ОтветитьHi! I’m a young learner, me and my cousin are learning sign language because we think it may come in handy one day! Your channel has really helped! Thank you!
Ответитьstarted learning BLS today, this is the first video I've watched, I've wanted to learn to sign for a while but I've always put it off thinking it would take me ages, but this year I've decided I'll learn and this video's made it a lot easier than I thought it'd be. I'm sad I'm having to teach my self this and that I wasn't taught in school as a mandatory class but I'm glad I've finally started learning.
Ответитьis this right? ive seen so many videos and i swear, all their hellos are different signs- im not sure whats going on. is there more than one way to sign it?
ОтветитьI cannot understand why on earth there are dislikes! The poor specimens of human being do not appreciate their hearing.
ОтветитьMy sister she has down syndrome and she learnt aloth thank you so much
ОтветитьI work at a holiday place and I notice a couple of people with hearing ads and I know those help people hear but I’m still what to teach myself sign so I can be as inclusive and make things easier for everyone
ОтветитьI have a friend who's deaf and I couldn't under stand her but commanding hands had been a big help I totally recommend him
ОтветитьThis helps me for school because I got a friend what is dead
Ответитьdoes it matter whether you use your right or left hand for words like good?
ОтветитьDecided I wanted to learn as it can help many people and you tubers that I know who can talk but in some situations prefer to sign so if anyone who needs someone to talk to whether it is using sign language or by speaking I can help
ОтветитьIt was a great video but in one of your previous videos you said please was doing the opposite movement to thankyou (moving your hand towards your chin)
Ответитьi so am going to try to learn this and more,i am assuming as well as signing the word, using your lips to pronouce the word matters too
ОтветитьThis is brilliant, thank you! I have a question, I've seen the question what's your name signed in a few different ways. I've seen it in the order 'name you what' and also 'your name what'. Is there a correct way?
ОтветитьY
ОтветитьHi 2😃
ОтветитьHi i am partly dead and i have been forever but it got really bad at 4 i was wearing a hearing aid but air was getting trapped causing me weekly ear infections so i has to swap toa cochlear headband on where its on a head band and it goes behind your ear it been over seven years of going to the doctors and they dont know whats wrong with my ears i can hear a little without my hearing aid but struggle in busy places where lots of people are talking. I struggle a lot in school but find it embarising to wear so i prefer not to wear cos people will pick on me for it like they did in my old school. I learnt bsl when i was 6 and i was fluent untill yr 6 where my teachers forced me not to use it so i could focus on sats i am now 13 and trying to learn again as i think it will be useful this video was very helpful (i dont rember any signs from when i was younger except hello)
ОтветитьI love your videos, thank you for uploading them! I am finding there to be some differences between different sources, but yours are very clear to understand!
ОтветитьI always wondered why deaf people still bothered to mouth the words as they were signing, but as I've started to learn I've realized that a lot of the signs are the same, just with slightly different meanings.
ОтветитьThank you so much for these videos!! They're really helpful! I please wanted to ask if there can be different ways to communicate the same word or greeting? Just because I've just started an online course for BSL, and the learning video for greetings shows different signs for "sorry", "good afternoon" and "good evening", so I'm a little confused! Thank you!! :)
ОтветитьWhen I say thank you, I close my palm, I dont know if that's what other people do, but that's what they taught me to do, so people could see the difference between me saying please and thank you. Awsome tutorials by the way, they help my friends alot
ОтветитьMy friend and I talk to each other in sign language in class to for help and everyone else is confused
ОтветитьThis is so clear and paced perfectly! Thank you!
ОтветитьHi, I've just started a course on BSL and I notice you do good evening and good night differently. There are also some other signs in your other videos which are different and I am getting confused as both are meant to be BSL. Is there a reason for the differences?
ОтветитьIs this in our right or left arm? or does it not matter.. im not sure!
ОтветитьIs "How are you" and "Are you OK" same signing?
ОтветитьI watched it 1000000 times and I’m really excited to use them in conversations
ОтветитьHonestly, I’m loving what you’re doing! I’ve only recently started learning and this is really helpful!
ОтветитьFor those doing revision, here's a list:
1. Hello
2. Good morning
3. Good Afternoon
4. Good Evening
5. Good Night
6/7. Please/Thank You
8. Sorry
9. How are you?
10. I'm Well/Fine
11. What's Your Name?
12. My name is...
12. Goodbye
Hope this helps :)
