Sony X90K vs X95K - Mini-LED or Not to Mini-LED

Why does remotes have to be so shitty and feel so cheapo today. I got my mom a lg oled evo and it has the same piece of sht remote as the cheap ones, if at least it was a great designed ui, but it isn't. Its like something they asked a trainee to do in his lunch break. Utter garbage. And I see Sony isn't doing any better. Really makes me long for the awesome b&o remotes from my childhood that were all design icons.

I miss when Sonny used to have XBR models so you can easily follow them.. now with so many variety of models you get confused and so many TVs. If you want that extra quality buy the more expensive one. Bang for the buck the X90L is a better deal. My question is how well does the X90L compare to a budget mini LED TV at the same price point??

Just order the Sony 75inch x90k. My living is not to bright, so this would be perfect.

Bought the X90ck 75" on sale at Costco. It came with the backlit remote.

This comparison is somewhat misleading. Yes, the X90K has better native contrast, but the X95K has much better local dimming which makes that native contrast comparison irrelevant. I completely disagree that the X90K is better for dark rooms...and so do most professional reviews out there, including Rtings.

Bought the 85 inch x90k full array. It has an awesome picture and the samsung sound bar and subwoofer sound outstanding with the 120hz arc

im leaning toward the x90k becuase its half the price compared to the 95k and i have a dark room ( not into video games) so my whole intention is to watch movies , sports, news ( cnn fox news) and do like watching you tube video in 8k such as nature , animals etc

is it really worth spending double the price for a slightly better performance tv?

can back light remote used with x90k of purchased separately? if yes from where i can buy it?

CERTAINLY I WOULD HAVE PREFERRED SONY LED X95K IF I HAVE SUFFICIENT CASH. HOWEVER, SINCE I AM ON A LIMITED BUDGET, I DON'T PLAY VIDEO GAMES AND I WATCH TV IN A DARKER ENVIRONMENT, IT IS BETTER TO PURCHASE THE SONY X90K LED TV. MAYBE, WHO KNOWS, THE SONY LED X90K HAD A BETTER ENHANCED CONTRAST IN DARK ROOMS AND PERHAPS BRINGS OUT THE INKY BLACKS MORE. THIS IS ONLY MY OPINION BECAUSE I CURRENTLY OWN A SONY OLED A9G. OR, MAYBE I WOULD STILL MAKE A FUTURE PURCHASE ON SONY PURE OLEDS AFTER A9G BECAUSE THE SCREEN IS ABLE TO PRODUCE EXCELLENT ACOUSTIC AUDIO, UNLIKE SONY MINI LED TVS AND FULL ARRAY LED TVS.

The rainbowing looks bad and i prefer the more intense reflection with no rainbowing, but the ambient light elimination gives x95k the win

Sony has focus on picture accuracy and creators intend. They do not crush shadow details like Samsung does. Disadvantage to that is the blooming. with LCD you cant remove blooming and have good shadow detail its one or the other and its a delicate balancing act. But Sony goes for picture accuracy where Samsung goes for deep blacks and bright colors.

I need help. The x90k 85” is $1,999 at Costco. Is there another 85” tv that’s better for $2,000?

Personally I like the x90k better I think the x95x has more of a cartoon style. I think the x90k is the perct picture realistic tv. Im thinking about switching out my old samsung tv for a x90k sony tv.

I just bought my x90k yesterday. 55" wall mounted. It's in a pretty naturally well lit area, and I haven't really had any issues with glare. To be honest, the blacks are amazing, I don't know what the hell people are talking about when they say LED TVs can't perform as well as OLED. I saw OLED side by side with my TV and it was almost exactly the same, I found OLED to over saturate the colours to the point where it was unnatural. Very happy with my purchase.

I got the 65X90K but it came with the old TX-520 U remote (with numbers) and not the new one, anyone has an idea?

I saw both at BB. The x95k is so much better than the x90k. The x95k is impressive with it's clear screen and vibrant colors. The image looked 3d like. The image looks amazing and looked pop out.

May be a bit late to comment on this video but I currently have the x900h, would the x90k be much of an upgrade over that? Here in the UK we can get a model called the x94k which has some slight differences like a more premium remote and voice assistant features

Since watching your video's, I have decided to purchase the Sony X95K (mini LED), even though it's $ 1,000.00 more than the X90K LED here in Canada. I will also go with the Sony HT-A5000 Sound Bar, SW3 Subwoofer, & finally the SARS3S wireless rear speakers, since I live in an apartment.

Hey bro. Just a suggestion on your editing. I think it would make sense to keep each object you are reviewing to one side only; consistently throughout your video. It’s great that you label which TV is which down the bottom but they were switching sides throughout the video.

Your statement about the stand on the X90K isn't correct. It is a two position stand that can be adjusted so that a soundbar can be placed under the TV. You need to make sure you get things like this correct so that your reviews will be credible.

Going to Best Buy tomorrow to check them all out. You have to look at them up close and personal. Much more fun that way. Too many people ordering stuff online. Next thing you know Best Buy will have to close their doors.

I bought the x90k but it has that center sync tv hiss noise faulty ground that almost majority of consumers reported same thing. I’m still in my return window but want to ask here if anyone have similar issues on the x95k? Trying to decide if I want them to swap out for the same x90k TVs and take my chances. Or if I want to try the more expensive one even though I don’t need many of bright use cases
