I believe that the victims don't react because that's what the killer sees; he doesn't feel or comprehend their emotions, he just sees his victims as animals. The only emotion he can understand is the fear in their eyes. Could be wrong though.

I watched this film for the first time last night, and what a trip it was. The cinematography is outstanding and it pretty much gives you the perspective from the killer, which is probably what the director intended. Erwin Leder's performance is very good and quite memorable. If you haven't seen this film, do yourself a favour and watch it.

Some serial killers have reasons behind their sprees other killers do not have a reason at all it’s just random distorted.

The ones you should watch out for are the ones who are aware of their broken minds and disguise it to the pony where they can pass as a normal human but in truth they are Cold hearted calculating an intelligent until they make a mistake that is.

assuming the whole movie is from the point of view of the mad guy i would assume the people just standing around instead of running away is him not knowing or caring what anyone he isn't currently attacking is up to, and not being able the envision what the normal reaction people would have to seeing whats in his trunk, he projects his own detached self onto others

The Camera work in this film was absolutely incredible in the first half.

Watching how the actor would still hold the REAL KNIFE during the hand to hand fight scenes gave me ANXIATY TO THE MAX. I couldn’t believe how unsafe that was 😖

By the way. The blood was real pigs blood. So when he was sucking on the blood… it was real pigs blood… he probably actually vommied.
