Love this video Sean! I may be wrong but I think one of the motels is probably the Sierra Polona on the Sierra Hwy in Agua Dulce. The shutters and bushes look incredibly similar.

Ah I should have bought this on blu when it was in print. The DVD is pretty stocked with special features but not the best quality. I wonder if they ever found Jenny Wright.

Love when Sean reenacts scenes, I really enjoyed him doing his version of the ice cream cone scene, hilarious! I laughed out loud.😆 I also like his enthusiasm, it makes the videos even more enjoyable. Plus, the inserting of the scenes from the movie is very professional and allows the viewer to compare the what things looked like as compared to now. Keep up the great work, Sean!

I am a horror fan and i never hear of Near Dark i guess i will watch it soon. I did hear a lot about Vamp in 1986 havent seen the filming locations yet.

Sean. thank you for this video about the filming locations of Near Dark. I adore this movie, especially because I was born in August of 1987. This movie is not easy to buy on either Blu-ray/ or even DVD. I wound up paying $200 for a Region-B copy to add up my collection. I wish a well known distributor would release the movie in the states. Thanks again for your hard work on movie locations.

I believe the Godspeed could be the now Sierra Pelona Motel in Agua Dulce.

My wife introduced me to this one,I always knew about it but was never interested in watching it as i wasn’t a big vampire fan..she bought me the plain old DVD last year but after watching this i showed her this gorgeous German media book and she surprised me again by getting me that just before i typed this.
It’s such a fantastic movie that I’m glad she got me to watch it
