Loved this lesson, Chandoo! However, I cannot figure out how to solve problem 2 on the FILTER Problems sheet. I've tried COUNTIF and COUNTIFS, but they return errors. I've read that you cannot use the MONTH function to glean the month out of the date column in the same formula with the FILTER function. Can you let me know how you resolved this, please.

This is helpful. How about duplicate values in the source file? If there are two rows of the same info with different sales volume, how do you add up?

Please address the fact that the dates and money are not returned by the filter in the appropriate format.

Great video. There's missing opportunity tho. What if number of conditions is also dynamic? Example, what if instead 2 countries you wanted to check 3 or 4. I have my solution using BYROW function. Try it:)

Sir, in the last question, I have created a separate column for average by using this formula
=SUMIF([Sales Person], [@[Sales Person]], [Amount]) / SUMIF([Sales Person], [@[Sales Person]], [Units])
and then used the filter function to print data. But is there any other method to find the average other than the pivot table?

Thanks to your video, I also find out we can use SUMPRODUCT to sum all values in case of displaying filtered data and get the sum at the same time.

What if one of the criterias was blank will it still give me the previous level filter. i.e. if I have country & Salary filter, and I selected USA & Salaries above certain amount, what if I deleted the salary restriction, will it be possible in the same formula to show the USA filtered data only?
