ОтветитьHi, I have grown grape in my house for almost 10years but it has not bear fruit since then, u will see the leaves growing beautiful but has difficult to bear fruit, am living in Ghana (Suhum) please I need solution
Constant pruning has been done all proved negative.
Thanks from Australia mate - That's great.
ОтветитьWhen we reduce 2 bunches per cane can we also cut back that long cane? You mentioned home grown vines do not have to be like commercial vines. Can you give us an example of tree form, bush form or any other form you know of that might work for a home garden? Nice videos thank you.
ОтветитьI love the dolmas suggestion! Thanks!
ОтветитьCheers Dan, I bought a Black Marroo Seedless Grape vine for $20 from Australia. Thank you for your info well appreciated, Jimmy🙂👍

ОтветитьHello body
Last year I planted 2 small grape seedlings in my garden. Now, after 1 year, it has not borne any fruit.
Is there a solution to grow fruit in the spring of next year or do I have to wait a few more years?
How do you keep Japanese beetles off of the plant and do you use iron sulfate
Ответить👍👍👍👍🍇😊🙏
Ответитьthanks so much Dan
Ответить"When you're growing grapes at home, it's different from being a commercial grower!" Well-said! Thank you!
ОтветитьThis was one of the most informative videos on grapes that I could find. Very well done! Thank you!
ОтветитьDid you say thin the young grape bunches to just two per cane? My grape vines produce grape bunches at every leaf node on the cane, so I would be killing 4/5 bunches. Is that what you meant?
ОтветитьThank you. Your artichokes look wonderful! I also like to grow mu artichokes near my grape vines. Very nice 😊👍
ОтветитьI have a wild Cali grape in my backyard that is going nuts. I grew it from a cutting and it would probably take over my entire property and cocoon my house so I have been cutting it back and was worried I was doing the wrong thing. You've given me renewed courage to go aheaed and keep pruning and thinning. I will also be cutting the bottoms off the bunches. These grapes are used for jelly more than anything else because they have big seeds but my grandson love to pick and eat them so I am keeping it.
Ответитьi had a TON of grape children! now the little guys are all turning shriveled reddish with some of the leaves turning reddish/brownish too. tell me what's up, please.
ОтветитьThanks for the tips. This is the first year my Grapes are producing.
ОтветитьNo nonsense, straight to the point delivery. You grabbed my attention. I'll be visiting again. Many thanks. I'm going to follow your advice as the grapes are now the right size to prune out.
ОтветитьSir, can I have your email please
ОтветитьTY!!!

ОтветитьThanks for the tip!
Ответитьwhat's name grapes variety?
ОтветитьI remember many years ago using grape leaves when I canned dill pickles. They were picked from my neighbor's vines in Greeley, Colorado. A single leaf was folded, and placed on top of the cucumber/brine mix, in a jar, which was then capped and processed. I got the idea probably from a book on preserving vegetables, and don't remember what the purpose was, or how it affected the flavor of the pickles.
ОтветитьI have 3 grape vines and needed these growing tips very much. I didn’t know about cutting off the tips of the bunches. . I will definitely do it this year. Also how can I make my grapes more flavourful and sweeter? The 2 reds are very sweet but the green one is not very sweet. Thank you.
ОтветитьHow many years the grapes survive
ОтветитьThanks for sharing! A little dark! Hard to see! Would you talk about soil prep and fertilizer?
ОтветитьThe Japanese do the opposite. They trimmed away those on the top and keep the lower part of the grapes.
ОтветитьHow do handle the black rot disease in Harrisburg, PA? Spary the fungiside.
ОтветитьThanks for such a great tip, makes perfect sense to do this. Very useful channel. Cheers from Australia
Ответитьnice
ОтветитьDidn't know about cutting off the tip of the grape bunch. Thanks for the tip.
ОтветитьI barely prune my vines and have fifty liters of wine from two vines. They grow throughout the garden.
ОтветитьGrape vine leaves also have medicinal uses, and if you eat the really little new leaves (as long as you have the ones that are smooth), you can eat them straight off the plant. Sour but good :o)
ОтветитьSounds like great advice... I'll try it on some of mine this year :o) Also, root your grape vine prunings... I tried it using the sand technique YOU shared in another video on a different plant, & have so many that rooted that I don't know what to do with them. Thanks for all the good advice & tips. God bless!
ОтветитьThey'll be larger, but only half as many...
ОтветитьHi just found your channel ,i am in the U.K and i am gonna try this with my grapes this year .
