I have a Boss GE7, but it is a new one. The early version I had was a little noisy, depending on what you was using before it in the chain. My new one is virtually noiseless. Of all the effects and pedals i own I have to say this is the most important one. Just adds to something to your tone no matter what style you play. Just my opinion
Ответить“I love lo-fi totally goosed EQ’s” and they cut the mic. 😅
ОтветитьBoss Equalizer is now $120, maybe $75 used.
ОтветитьI must be lucky but my Boss GE-7 pedal is completely silent. In comparison, I have the MXR eq pedal, and that is noisy.
ОтветитьSOLD
ОтветитьThe paddle is not $40, but it should be.
ОтветитьI use the Boss GE7 the same way, just a slight eq adjustment above the middle line for the 800 and the rest underneath... works great as my always on pedal.
ОтветитьDoes anyone know where's exactly placed Boss EQ in pedal chain? This information will really help me 💪
ОтветитьThe boss eq just adds a wonderful sheen to my whole sound whether boosting or just shaping. It was the most surprising pedal I ever plugged into.
ОтветитьI came back to the GE-7 as well. There’s a lot of cork sniffer stuff out there, but the Boss is just so useful
ОтветитьI've got the 10-band MXR. I'm gonna try this out!
ОтветитьOriginal GE-10 is a big component to the secret sauce of the brown sauce
ОтветитьQ: what's the mod? A: Oh they just make then quieter followed by: this one isn't even modded but I got a bunch that are. Tom Bukovac, ha ha ha ha, what a dildo.
ОтветитьHe's absolutely right about the boss EQ , I use it to boost my MXR Fullbore Metal Pedal , it makes it sound so much better than on its own.
ОтветитьA great pedal on its own and also works well with other drive pedals!
Ответитьhe said the boss EQ pedal is a 40$ pedal HAHAHAHA yeah maybe it was 40$ 30 years ago, I just bought one a week ago and it was 120$ plus tax
ОтветитьHa! I was right the famous Boss EQ ped is noizy!!! who pays for that? not I!
ОтветитьShow Gostei Brother Irado 🏴☠️🆙️🏴☠️
.
I see a Maxon/Ibanez PQ-9. That also is a great eq pedal!
Ответитьyup!
ОтветитьGotta love that eq mod comment.
Plot twist: his pedal isnt even modded
I had mine modded to be quieter be Analogman. GE7 into Zendrive=Nirvana.
ОтветитьIs it really “that” noisy? I know it depends on your rig.. but anyone have any insight on this? Thanks.
ОтветитьThanks for sharing the knowledge.
ОтветитьI still have my old DOD version of the Boss.
👍👍
Legendas em português BR por favor!
Ответитьwell so much for always getting new pickups, like joe b says, use your knobs,
ОтветитьMy analogman modded came in today. One guitar, one amp, can get through a whole show. Thinking about getting a second to have two presets. And it never hurts having an extra master level in the chain.
ОтветитьHis playing is unbelievable. A friend got me hooked.
Ответитьmost useful pedal ever for any rig and music style...period
ОтветитьHey PG, does he use the Boss EQ as a boost BEFORE or AFTER overdrives? Or is he just boosting the front end of a already crunchy amp? This info would be really helpful. It's not mentioned in the video.
ОтветитьBukovac is a monster!
ОтветитьDoes he uses the Boost/EQ before or after the overdrives?
ОтветитьFrom the early days Slash used that pedal to boost all his solos. It adds a lot of hiss though so it’s better in a rock context.
ОтветитьBEST Rig Rundown EVER.
ОтветитьThe boss eq is what jake E Lee said he used as a boost pedal in his ozzy days and badlands, great minds think alike l see
ОтветитьI've been using a Boss GE-7 for years, and I've never had a problem with hiss....
Maybe the earlier ones were noisier.
YEP!
ОтветитьI'd not heard of him before but his playing and tone are amazing!
ОтветитьCrazy, i used to use a BOSS EQ as my boost pedal for solos, way back in the day, because that's all i had.
ОтветитьThank you for this, been trying some stuff since you posted Toms rig rundown trying to get some of those tones with the gear i have.
ОтветитьThis my favorite rig rundown ever
ОтветитьWhat's the mod "well, they just mod them and quiet them down"..."ohhh...". lol. Thanks for the tip, Tom!
