Uhh, Magpie's actually make great pets, the ones that like to be social with humans (not all do). However, one must absolutely not confine the bird indoors. The Magpie needs to be able to go in and out of the home as he pleases, or simply remain outside with a nice bird house it can go in and out of as it pleases. ; )

Love this. Maggies are the best. I had a bunch of them that would greet me in the yard most mornings and take food from my hand when I offered it. I've only ever been swooped by one in my life. The rest of them seem to know that I'm a mate and to lay off. That one probably just didn't get the memo or was having an off day.

Been watching a lot of these videos i have a couple magpies that come around this time of year the female is the most comfortable, and will come right up to me just the other morning i was making a coffee and there she was standing at the kitchen window being a creep 😂. The male keeps his distance but hes not bothered by me walking around or near him.

We had a family of magpies visiting us and one of the young ones would come inside..when the weather was very hot we left a sprinkler on low and a water bowl. They stayed around it all day. They would sing wonderfully to me when I whistled to them. We moved away but I will never forget them.

There was a crow at my local bus stop I always took him food. It was really a sad day when i found him dead on the floor. I wanted to pick him up and cuddle him but i knew hed have fleas. Poor little thing.
