Bro, I'm sorry, but you need to quit saying that Jrue Holiday isn't good enough to start on this team...he's the only lock down perimeter defender on the team, and when the entire team is stacked with prolific scorers, his skill set stands out as being uniquely important. The proof is in the pudding too...when he's won multiple championships in his career and completely shut down literal NBA Top 75 All-Time players on several different playoff occasions, he's definitely good enough to start. Edwards is the best SG in the game, plus this team needs defense/energy... something Antman can plug in. Many more reasons but leave it there.

During your discussion of how the different USA teams stack up, your ranking of talent is wrongheaded. You say that the current Team USA is less talented than past USA teams because they don't have the "top tier" players in the world - eg. Jokic, Luka, and/or Giannis. In my opinion this fact is completely irrelevant and doesn't make us any less talented; it just means that the rest of the world has become significantly more talented over time. So if you go all the way back to 1992, of course almost all of the Team USA players were on All-NBA teams. However, this doesn't mean that the 1992 Team USA was necessarily more talented than the current Team USA - it just means that they were more dominant relative to foreign competition at the time. The same goes for the 2008 Team USA. Neither team existed in a time when Jokic, Luka, and Giannis were in their prime. With that, the only way to properly compare talent level is to consider how the current Team USA would match up with past USA teams in a vacuum. Otherwise you're simply faulting current USA players for existing alongside improved foreign competition. Now if you're talking about relative dominance, that would be totally logical, but if you're talking about talent specifically, it's not. The reality is this is probably the most talented Team USA there has ever been in terms of aggregate talent. No, not just the way "they work together" but actual talent.
