I want my old MS video editor back, I went to edit a video today in win10 and found MS have removed it and replaced it with a photo browser program and some AI crap that you use on-line I don't want to share my videos with MS how can I get the old video editor back?

I love this editor, simple to use and MSN overwrote it with Clip Chump and here I am lost as hell. I spent literally 24 hours making a 26 minute tutorial and 12 hours to upload on DSL only to have to delete it again as ClipChump added some deleted files and I didn't catch it. Where can I get a copy of the old editor?

And now Video Editor is gone 😞

Thank you, Kevin, you're a lifesaver! My hard drive crashed on the laptop I've had for probably 10 years, and when I got it replaced, my beloved Movie Maker was gone! I loved that program and I had no idea it had been discontinued. While exploring the features on the replacement hard drive I came across the Video Editor, but I made the mistake of opening it in Photos and didn't have a clue how it worked. I'm so glad I found your video with such clear and detailed step by step instructions. The look and functions of this Video Editor are very much like Movie Maker and I'm hopeful I'll be able to make the switch fairly seamlessly. It's too bad some features are missing, but it looks like there are some pretty cool new ones that I'll grow to love just as much. Now to learn what the heck ClipChamp is! Another app I couldn't decipher earlier but I'm sure your video on that will be just as helpful.

Kevin, the video editor is no longer available in photos app. I just tried to edit a video I took now there was a message saying " that video editor is no longer available in photos app and for new videos they suggest to use clipchamp.

they made an update and is different now, can you make a video how to editate? it sais to download an app if you want to editate

Has there been an update? Because I cannot for the life of me find the new project button and the app looks completely different than yours.

hi kevin great info...i have a problem with this program. After the movie is completed i cannot upload it to my2tera bite storage drive. is the move too long for the program? 39 minutes. thanks

I have Microsoft video editor installed and all of a sudden I can't add my photos, the add button is gone! It won't uninstall either. This is on Windows 10.

Hi Ive just followed your video to edit a video......but the problem i have is the video no longer has any sound now.....is there a way to trim a video, but keep the sound, i don't want to make a video collage and then add music or sound, the video i want to trim down already has sound, but when i trim it and play it back, the sound is gone, is there a way around this..??
