We're in north America???? You're in Canada?
ОтветитьThere is 80plus white which is worse than bronze and I'm a verified owner of one.
ОтветитьWatching Linus destroy a motherboard at the beginning of the video hurt so bad
ОтветитьThat full bridge rectifier looks like a wheatstone bridge
ОтветитьIn the Netherlands it is 240Volt From the Wall 😂🎉
Ответить13secs in, why would anyone think that you can just plug it into a wall....
There are many capacitors, resistors and more in a power supply.
All needed in order to make sure the right voltage and amps are being provided to the PC.
If this is not already understood then you have no need for a PC or to build one.
I will let this video play while I go take a poop, hope the watch time helps with your journey.
What has happened tgo James or Anthony hosting videos?
Ответить"Turbo Nerd"
Instant thumbs up and comment. KEEP MAKING THESE
I am 13 and going to be an ee when I grow up so I understand around 35% of what Alex said (I think his name is Alex)
ОтветитьI want so bad to be a turbo nerd but there just aren't enough of these
ОтветитьDoes a 1000w PSU constantly use 1000w of energy, or does it only consume the energy demanded by the components?
Ответитьsuperior japanese caps folded over 1000 times
ОтветитьExcellent work... even though the video is very simplified, it keeps the principles comprehensible and that is not always done that well 👍
Ответитьim not the only one that noticed that they swapped the boards in the beginning right?
Ответитьok
Ответитьi appreciate the mehdi shoutout
Ответитьwhat hapende if dc cuurnet gos in power suply
ОтветитьWhy did u waste a whole ass motherboard bro 😩 im trying to build a pc but its getting waay out of buget because of the motherboard.
ОтветитьSeasonic was always the DADDY since I assembled my first PC 2013, and even might before that but I don't remember myself good enough before I was 3
ОтветитьSomehow it made me cringe when you called the application note from ONsemi a paper.... but nice video!
ОтветитьVariresistor 🤣
ОтветитьThe only thing I remember after watching this whole video is "aww, cute puppy!"
ОтветитьThat's some great Motherboard Swap in Intro 😂😂
ОтветитьWell, I have a 600W power supply (I don't even remember the name anymore, the sticker came off) it must have at least 20 years of constant use, I don't even know if it still delivers 600W, but it still works perfectly fine, upgrade after an upgrade, and today it runs a Core i7 with a radeon hd 7700 (it's old, but it works for me). The fact is that I myself cannot understand how it can work for so many years on end, it's okay that it has already gone through some cleaning and even changing the fan, but here's an old warrior!
Ответитьnice..
ОтветитьRectifier?! I don't even know her!
ОтветитьPhD. in electronics with power supply switching? No. This is basic knowledge in german electronics studies, first year basics. Did I mention that it costs you nothing to study in Germany? Come to us! Health insurance is also free, so ptsd or just std the living shit out of your new life abroad in Germany! :D
ОтветитьTyvm for add CC. Really appreciated.
ОтветитьThank you very much for this information, all of you. That modular psu cable info you gave... scares me...
ОтветитьPHYSICS!!! :)))
ОтветитьI found out exactly how those black capacitors work as a kid. I was playing with a disposable camera. Well, I did the forbidden touch of a charged capacitor and did 1000 push-ups in a fraction of a second. Not a workout routine I'd recommend.
ОтветитьReminded me when I was kid, I soldered bunch of random circuit boards and cords from dads closet, and plugged in into 220v. It blew on some component or contact, and nothing serious is happened. Some stupid kid logic, when I thought that if put some random crap together it can actually do something.
ОтветитьThe motherboard changed color
Ответитьwow i already knew this so i must be a turbo nerd :(
ОтветитьSo, if you swap the coil spins, you can multiply instead of divide the voltage. The transformer in a used/broken microwave scales up 110 to 2k, which is incredibly dangerous, but if wired in reverse it brings the voltage down by the same factor. The reason I know, is my crazy 8 year old making me take one apart.
Ответить220, 221, whatever it takes.
ОтветитьThe only thing that bothers me that this is highly scripted is that i really notice it when they talk. It does not sound natural i think they need to work on this altough they were good they have imporvements to do.
ОтветитьI remember Seasonic as the best power supplies for more than 20 years.
ОтветитьThis video made no sense two me until I was two years deep into an EE degree
ОтветитьSo a longer warranty means they won't replace and dump?
ОтветитьI like the idea of a single voltage powering the entire motherboard, would make it much easier to build an internal UPS, or to connect it to a vehicles DC power source, such as in an RV
ОтветитьAhaaaa! It’s got X— and Y- Capacitors in it. So it’s like humans having X- and Y- Chromosomes. Perhaps that’s why people also call it a „Trans former“?!? 😏
