Is it required to setup the base station?

Eufy cameras are really not secure, if anyone steal or destory the cameras, then you csn retrieve or look at any footage (home base or not, if you want to see a recording, the device need to be working)

Works well, better than expected

I use the Eufy system. Works fine. Recharge every quarter of the year.

The battery powered unit has me very concerned. I have no desire to think about that and the cold weather it would be subjected to living in Michigan. Anyone have experience with cold weather like MI and these door bells?

App keeps running once you've looked at who is at the door on you're phone , you can't just touch the phone icon on screen to turn off , screen will go black but the app keeps running in the background, phone battery killer !!!!

can these camera system do rtsp or onvif?

Wired or wireless door bell, does it works with home base 3?

Lacks HomeKit

Love the review other than the micro-usb comment. I have two bluetooth/radio speakers, multiple "blue-collar" flashlights and an 18650 charger that still use micro USB. Plenty of people still have them lying around!

Hi. Can you delete old videos on the homebase using the app? And is the storage upgradeable?

5 seconds to see who is at the door is way too long!!!

No video quality movement tests or mentioning of how long the camera stays on if viewing live etc etc.. Less a review and more a "here's what it says on the package" video. Still nice info but far from a review.

I have a Eufy door bell and wireless cameras. LOL, what a mistake.

After having a NEST, Ecobee, Philips lights and the Eufy, I have learned the hard way never to buy any "cloud" appliance. The bases of the Eufy and and Philips appliances are deprecated. I can't upgrade them because their apps no longer recognize them and I can no longer access old apps to transfer their control to another phone/tablet. The Nest had no user serviceable part and died unceremoniously and the ecobee freaks out if it loses an internet connection to its mother ship, never mind that the wifi is just fine.

All of this and the apps scrape all the user data they can to send back to corporate momma which they moentize and to top it off, they put ads in their apps.

Yeeeah, no. No cloud anything in my house ever again.

Does it come with a bracket to attach to the door somehow? Thanks

Waiting for Matter standard to be added to video doorbells.

I bought the Eufy Dual Doorbell 2K in February this year knowing that the software release was due in March 2023 so that the doorbell will then work with Homebase. 3. There's nothing worse than having two home bases and a doorbell that can't recognize familiar faces. I got an email today from Eufy stating that there will be no firmware update for this doorbell for the next 2 to 3 months. I, along with many other customers, would feel very let down with this new information.

I thought this is capable of being hardwired via the two screw terminal and not needing to be removed to charge it.

Does it support ONVIF or RTSP? Should probably have to support MQTT for the button pushing.

Can it be used without wifi ('notifications', I take my net with me going out)? in other words, can it talk to it's base without a my hot spot?
I hope it has an internal speaker or the in the base?
My neighbour is nuts and I need to have a 'history of recordings' to get my real estate to kick him out.

OMG! That's the one I've been eying off for ages. I'll be attaching it to an over the door hook thing with soft backing between the screen and wooden doors (renting, no holes allowed).
I have not used my devices to research (i.e. google mini didn't overhear me), I physically went into the shops (didn't have my phone on me either). True fluke.

My Eufy doorbell sucked. I was charging it a couple times a week! I recently purchased a dual camera LINDO. Far superior. Battery seems to last weeks instead of days! Check it out!

Great doorbell, however the app could do with a revamp and also by the time my bell goes off the via motion the people have already gone, iv emailed eufy but because I'm in the uk I do not get an email back till 7 am , shame really, if they can get there act together might have to find something else unfortunately

Your home security also eufy and you are using keypad for home ?

Does the dual camera unit work with your existing Homebase 2 or are a new Homebase 3 required.

Also, has Eufy addressed the various security problems reported by customers such as long pressing the sync button on the battery units, which deregisters them from the Homebase, deleting all recorded videos from the unit, the problem of the thumbnails being on the cloud when you enable thumbnail notifications, another problem reported was that with their camera based garage door controller, a close command through a smart speaker will open the door if it is already closed and do so without asking for a code as the normal open door command would prompt for. The Eufy's are often the clear choice due to paid cloud subscriptions being optional but many reviewers have been taking the Eufy's down as their recommended products till Eufy addresses the issues found.

Can you set this doorbell up so that your existing doorbell chime rings or is only the hub device with the video stored on it that acts as the chime?

This doorbell is easy to set up but it will Not connect to the baseplate at all! Just bought one at Walmart 119.00 after making an account and charging it and installing the base plate , the video doorbell will not connect to the mounting bracket base plate , just snaps in the directions say , but it doesn't

Eufy over engineered this camera. Using ONE wide angled Lens could do this job. Watch Blink sneak in and eat potential sales from Eufy in the near future.
Great review, but Eufy let me down with the 2 camera gimmick.
I need 2 lens like I need a SIX blade disposable razor.

I had originally purchased an Arlo set up and then found out you can't really do anytying them with out a monthly subscription and I am getting away as many of the sub based product that i have.... so started to look at Eufy... bought a set of the 2cpro cams with hub and another set of the 2cpro 365 cams for our recording studio.... I just placed an order for the dual door bell battery operated because from the looks of the different reviews it actually has more feature and it will connect to one of my hubs already in use. Thanks for the review... hope you keep updating it over time.
