This is not a frozen shoulder. Don't spread misinformation. It is about inflammation and deep rigidity of the capsule a very profound internal fibrotic tissue. It gets cured with daily effort of mobilitation and exercise.
a) you didn't touch the capsule
b) your test of the strenght of the arms has no evidence
c) By reliving trigger points you got more range of motions... Which is MASCULAR. Not of the capsule.

That’s not a frozen shoulder if he can lift like that! Frozen shoulder is severe pain, after 1.5 years this guy would have severe limitation of rom esp ext rotation and abduction, not flexion, btw. Better diagnosis is impingement on flexion, not to discredit you didn’t help him, but that AINT frozen shoulder
