Windows Movie Maker was the best thing to exist. When it got discontinued there wasn't any nice and easy free software available (apart from Davinci resolve but my laptop couldn't handle it). I know that there is Clipchamp, but I dislike that you need an internet connection. I can only wish that they would bring it back :(

Yeah I can imagine how hard it is to have such a high benchmark to compare yourself with. Marques videos are just on a different league, dont even bother. But your videos aren’t bad just because marques exists. You are still putting out good content.

I started watching Marques after researching the LG G3. I was highly impressed at how he covered that phone and I got it. Been subbed to him ever since. And of all the cool things Marques does, him being on a frisbee team was hands down the coolest imo. 😂👍

I don't think it gets mentioned that often with his style points or his passion... which are certainly important. But to me, these don't matter as much as his sharpness: his vast experience, solid logic, and crystal clarity. He often observes and picks up on stuff that eludes others. This is what makes his insights valuable.

This is so common and it doesn’t just happen for tech channels. It’s in human nature. People see someone get successful, then they try to emulate. A company launches a successful product, another companies then try to emulate. I see nothing wrong with emulation or being inspired by someone else, that being said, passion should always be the primary motivator for doing things. Though it’s also true many people get filthy rich by emulating methods that are already proven to work. An example would be all the televangelist pastors who are disgustingly rich, they all talk, act and conduct theme selves the same way, it’s obvious they are following a formula.

Makes a video about how Marques influenced tech videos…ends the video with the exact same vocal pacing and speech patterns as Marques uses. 😂 The only thing not included here is the hand gestures.
