ОтветитьWhen your metal is to the right temp to anneal, a magnet will not stick to the hot metal. Than wrap it in ceramic wool and it will the softest it can get. I'm a blacksmith knife maker, besides jeweler .

ОтветитьThat was amazing! I thought it was going to be a short video but I couldn't stop watching once I started. Some day, I'd like to be a proficient stone setter and I found your tips very useful. Since I'm nervous about messing up the stone during clean-up and polishing, I really like the idea of making a cup bur as well as annealing a file to protect the stone. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge and talent. This was EXCELLENT!👍
ОтветитьI got all Swiss files !

ОтветитьThank you sharing your knowledge and experience with us , it’s a pleasure to watch you . Please can you , or anyone else , advise if any precautions are needed when adapting steel tools in your jewellery making area? I was once told that I couldn’t even use a tool on precious metal again if it had been used on steel, as it would contaminate and the harder steel particles would interfere with attempts to polish . Thanking you again . 😊
ОтветитьGreat video, thanks
