Etho Plays Minecraft - Episode 539: The Bamboozler

It's 2023, I've been playing with autocrafters and come up with a complete system that crafts everything that can be made just from bamboo fully AFK. I was going to call it the bamboozler, but googled it because it totally sounded like something Etho would name something. Lo and behold...

I'm with chat: If you can do it in game you should be allowed. You worked very hard to get your world like this, and many updates, and should be rewarded for it.

How does etho trade with Cheetho so fast?

I may be wrong, but it seems as the bone meal is applied half the time while the glass is still above the bamboo. Now I know that if an item can't grow, a dispenser doesn't use the bonemeal.... except if it can't grow because its blocked rather than reached a growth limit (try it, dispenser, button, bamboo, glass... bamboo reaches the glass, but bonemeal is still used).

So if that is true, this farm is using bonemeal at roughly twice the rate it should for the amount of growth it is getting. I built the farm and one made to clock to only bonemeal if glass blocks had just retracted, and this seems to confirm it.

Is this episode sped up with like 10%? I am viewing on normsl, but everything seems to be moving faster.

Using the daylight sensors make a block barricade in front of the door maybe

fun fact! if you put your door facing the block next to it, it will count as if the door is closed, then if you close the door it counts it to be open and so the zombie wont break the door! ;P

Etho has become mental health care

I think you need to add some realism to your Sandy City buildings. Don't worry about the foundation. What you really need is to build your own house in the city, and then install a system where you have to pay a mortgage on it once every 30 Minecraft days (at any point during the 30 day period, just like a real mortgage) or else it will be foreclosed on and a villager will take it over. Then make sure you have a visual way of knowing what Minecraft month it is. Maybe use it as a way to install weekly-rented apartments on a server!

I'm trying to build this, but my pistons are releasing the blocks because the pulse is too fast?

If you stand sideways when you put in the door you can open it to close it. So when the zombies sees it they'll think it's open and not try to break it down. I do that every time I put in a door in because it annoys me too, and it still looks and works just like a regular door.

I know this video is old, but I don't see why I shouldn't mention it. Zombies don't knock doors down if they are in the 'open' position already. So, put doors down in such a way that when you open the door, they are seen as 'closed' by the game.

I like how you mix in more structured walls, with... I guess more organic walls. Haha. I find my OCD taking over whenever I build walls and my walls generally are more straight. This gave me inspiration I need to get more into that style. But I guess to answer your question I personally think that style of building is very nice haha

Place your doors "open" in the houses so the zombies won't break them when they're closed since they think the doors are open instead of closed.

Etho i recommend following a channel called Athlean-X it gives a lot of tips about exercising and it has helped me out a lot

Ergo, how did you get the creeper to walk around sandy city like that?

Etho, place the doors “backward” so in the open state it’s actually closed and vice versa. The AI for the zombie will usually only attack closed doors, you can still use the doors normally but the zombies don’t bother knocking them down as they think they’re open

Place the door like when its normaly open. "open" them, so its closed :)
