What if you invert the wall concept and put blocks on the ground above the corridor where they are trying to dig, I suspect they’ll go for the pit no matter where you are along the corridor because they would have to climb up to dig down on the block
ОтветитьIs this broken now? or does this still work?
ОтветитьThat video title 😂😂😂
ОтветитьMan, nice video, but your yelling voice is SO ANNOYING!!!!!
ОтветитьWhy do you talk like that
ОтветитьBut why do you have to scream? This behavior is detestable, you are tiring us...
ОтветитьPathing has sucked since the AI overhaul in A17.
ОтветитьI wonder if you could form some kind of slide/shoot into the pit from where the ai wants to dig?
ОтветитьSuper click bait title.
Ответитьyou should go up one level or two and put a balcony, thru which you could toss fire bombs and pipe bombs and let the bottom crawl be afk. maybe 2 or 3 spinning traps.
ОтветитьI think if you did like a hidden slide to go from the middle of the two spots into the big slide sown it would keep the zombies off you and make them go into the trap but making them think they are going to you
ОтветитьF!*k I h-eight your voice….
ОтветитьWell, it seems I accidentally figured this out with my game. It's nice to know why they won't attack my doors to the underground
ОтветитьWhen Aussies say they come from Down Under this is what they meant 😂
Ответитьgreat now they will fix this in a patch good going clown boy
ОтветитьDid they patch the entrance already? Lol
ОтветитьI hope FunPimps never hire Josh for AI QA testing ;)
Love watching how you come up with ways to break the AI's pathing haha
aswellmmm there we goommmmmm why the fuck do u say mmmmm at the end of everything u weird cunt
ОтветитьIts a long shot, you might know something I don't but you know when you built that wall outlining around your base at 1 high they jumped over and you said it was like a "got stuck" jump over. Built it 3 high? :P Problem solved? xD Failing that, actually FILL it with blocks. That means they have to go up to go down still. :P
ОтветитьI will call you Josh
ОтветитьYou gave me a good idea as I am planning a under ground base soon. Instead on just one block high make it several with spikes around it with iron grates to walk on so when you emerge you will be safe
ОтветитьDont you make them come up when they fall down on the bedrock?
Ответить"super smart structural engineers with the blueprints for the world" is the reason why some of their A.I. updates drive me nuts. Half the time when TFP "fix" the zombie A.I. into gymnastics-balance-beam-cirque-du-soleil/professional-demolition-expert geniuses, it feels ridiculous.
I can accept auger hands because A) maybe the zombie virus softened their bodies to handle the impact of their hardened hands bashing through concrete like how woodpeckers have that cushion between their skull and beak and B) if it really bothers a player, it's a very easy setting to adjust in the XML files. But balancing on the edge of ultra thin blocks when they're walking just annoys the hell out of me. Running/sprinting, sure, even an unfit adult could do it if they're confident enough, but these are wobbly, flailing, half-rotted human-shaped monsters that shouldn't (emphasis on shouldn't) know the structural differences between wet paper and concrete until they lay their hands on it. C'mon.
Granted, maybe this level of zombie intelligence is only temporary. Maybe this is the developers way of testing the human/bandit A.I. for future updates. Because if so, my GOD they are gonna be almost as tough to beat as actual humans.
Best way to make an underground base entrance is a slanted tunnel. However high and big you want. Just stay at a consistent slant. You can get through it faster than a ladder and if you make it big enough for vehicles, badabing. Just add a slanted mound one block high at the surface and you're in. The slant makes the entrance far enough away the zombies don't path through it if there is a pit that is a shorter path.
ОтветитьIs this patched yet i dont read pach notes
ОтветитьOne thing you did not test:
Actually building the room above your fighting platform with an open space facing towards the drop hole and parking your aussie ass there when the horde night starts.
Provide a jumping puzzle with metal half cubes which their brains are to decayed to see that they'd need to actually jump and done.
It means that you theoretically are closer to the surface and thus the zombobs and zomboobs have a shorter router to you.
They start digging when there is no direct route to the player in a set distance.
The blocks in front of your face count as more distance than an open block. Depending on material 1 to 5 times as much i.e. the rest distance they have left is shorter.
The drop combined with the length of the corridor means that distance is exceeded at a certain point and they search alternative routes. Including making one.
I was hoping you'd fill in that wall around their dig spot and see how that played out. Jumping a block to get to their dig spot is one thing but if you cover their dig spot i'm not sure if they'd still dig through concrete or try the hole.
Ответитьthumbnail simple and actual base complex
ОтветитьWE NEED TO BULID A WALL & WE NEED TO BUILD IT QUICKLY. WE HAVE NO BORDERS, WE HAVE NO CONTROL. LOL MY SON & I ARE BUILDING A WALL AROUND A SMALL TOWN WITH A HOSPITAL. He changed the sines saying trump's wall.🤦♂️😂
ОтветитьIs this still working? Want to try my hand at my first underground base, but I can't find any recent builds on UG bases,
Thanks!
soon, The Fun Pimps will make zombies so smart, they will develop a thriving civilization with a centralized governing body, they will rebuild the devastated cities into a flourishing utopia where they decide to eat laboratory grown human meat so humans and zombies can live together to colonize space and bring peace to the universe.
ОтветитьWhat if were you made the invisible wall test you just filled it all in with blocks so right above you was 1 block higher then every were else will they still jump up there and start breaking the blocks to dig straight down to you?
ОтветитьStand/stay beyond the fall pit. So the one block up ladder shaft, conected to a corridor that is bypassing the fall pit and fighting/trap possition. into a T juction that completes the conection towards juicy aussie brains.
This way the "best" path to the player is always via the pit.
Edit: make it a flat "J" .The fall portion on the tip of short end. Player/base/killbox in the bend and the 1 up Ladder at the tip of the long end of the "J".
I'm surprised the pathing didn't reset to the new elevation when they jumped on the one block wall. Maybe if it was three or four blocks deep it would've given the pathing time to reset and Theye'd find the hatch.
ОтветитьWhy are you shouting
ОтветитьMaybe they only path the way we expect up to a certain distance and anything past that is ignored? Kind of like if you put down player made blocks in all directions far enough (like idk 100x100 flat square on the ground of blocks) and stand in the center, nothing spawns even during horde cause the blocks they 'can' spawn on are so far it just doesn't register? (At least I remember something like that idk if its still the same). So maybe until a patch increases their pathing and registers far enough to include the drain, since you're so deep in the tunnel away from the drain, they dont even know the drain exists, its just them, dirt, you and an elevated way in they wont use?
ОтветитьALWAYS SCREAMING THE WHOLE VIDEO
ОтветитьThis patched out by the anti fun pimps yet?
ОтветитьI have done a wedge ramp from bedrock to the surface and just left it open. The opening is so far away that they don't see to use it.
Ответитьjust make more drops around your base ..
ОтветитьWhat is that gun that you're using for mining? I've seen a few people using that.
ОтветитьI am playing my first long playthrough of this game and found just a wide enough reinforced concrete 4 high wall plus 3 layers of iron spikes with 2 layers next to wall and one layer outward. Kills most then allows me to bomb any holes killing the pack that made it but since it is so large almost all zombies ignore the holes made starting over. The uniformity and size really spread them out making then to weak to effectively get in
ОтветитьDoes anyone by chance have the dimensions he used here? Like actually count how wide and deep, etc? Just asking before I step through the video 1 frame at a time...
Ответитьwhat if you made one side have the wedge all the way down? like to them it's a staircase instead of just a lower place. so they don't have to dig to get to you. maybe that will stop the dig command they get.
ОтветитьAn ibis going into a dumpster? That's cold, for ibises everywhere.
ОтветитьI didn't watch the first episode before this one (I didn't see it on my for you page)
Did you bring up the distance of how deep into your base you can go before they stop pathing correctly?
I'd be interested in knowing that.
I got the gist of how the base works from this video and don't really want to watch a half hour vid just to find that one piece of info if someone could please respond with that I would be grateful.
It was the yelling, sure the video was great
ОтветитьI think if the base outline you did above was all the way up to the pit and that end was open, may have to be at least two block high, they would try to either come down the drop shaft or at least cross the pit to get to the place they would start digging. Either way they would have to cross the pit?
Ответить"... because this episode is done." No, it isn't! You came up with that great idea and I need to see you abuse it more!
ОтветитьWhy not build your entrance further out so they spawn in between the entrance and the hole
Ответить
