Good stuff so far, Louie. Will watch in segments. The way you go thru everything is really super cool! Very hands on. Love it. Thanks

I still find it kinda weird that the Maple has a 24k purity while the eagle has a 22k purity I believe but the eagle is worth more

Dude Louie! I didn't know this whole time you were local to my area! I used to go to Cellar as well. It's a bummer the owners closed down and moved. I personally like SD Coin and Bullion. The gents there are fair and reasonable. Their selection is also great.

Great information Louie. I have no plans on selling anything anytime soon, but I like boning up on this kind of info to demystify the process.

Surprised your LCS was 1% under spit for fractional gold. I buy ALOT of fractional gold and resell them when the time is right. I have NEVER lost money. Then I buy a bar 100g of gold with my sales. EBay is a great outlet but I do advertise elsewhere.
As for Silver I am yet to start selling silver. No plans apart from ACE

I thought you have to have a certain dollar amount worth, 10,000$ i think to APMEX to buy your metals. I could be wrong.
Great video amigo

Gotta ask, did you say that the insurance added on Packages through the USPS "does not cover" coins sent in the postal mail? And that I have to use Registered mail to cover the coins?

I have never wanted or needed to sell yet.... bit its crucial to know how to when the time comes... so thanks for sharing this valuable & practice information Lord Louie.

That being said I definitely have some super low mintage collector coins that have appreciated faster than I ever imagined... something I think I should pull the trigger

I do not believe the prices you see in the SOLD area of ebay are showing you the prices after the sale using Ebay bucks.

I listed something on ebay today and after I listed, they had a screen pop up that was promoting me to post a special link of my item to social media and if someone used that link to purchase, the final value fees would be waived. They are probably doing this to give the sellers a free way to sell and also to give ebay a chance at your business.

In my neck of the woods, poured silver sells at 90% of spot, coin silver, 95% of spot at the bullion dealers. Selling only works after a big increase in spot.

Probably one of the few who has been stacking for a while (started in 1993) who also sold their entire stack (in 2008). London Coin Galleries took them all and under the circumstance, took what they offered. Last thing to go prior to the primary residence... Good ideas you share here my friend. Experience was that when needed, most won't haggle over a few bucks in discount or premium...

Is it true that many or some of the big on line dealers only pay the listed buyback price on their site only if you sell them $10,000 in pm total or even in the particular quoted items……like a whole monster box of silver eagles.

My stradegy in selling any PM's is finding a high profile gold and silver store.. Do NOT go to pawn shops. Pawn shops are for desperate people that need money in a pinch. Erasing the eBay fees, mailing fees is important. So, find a high profile gold and silver dealer and they usually will give you the best prices on your PM's. I live in clearwater FL. There's a high profile pm store named the Silver queen. They will pay me spot on all my PM's. Trick is finding the stores with good reputations and that have big pockets. They can do this because they just turn around and resell at 2 to 3$ over spot. Or they melt and restructure for profit in that manner.

Great video. I’m just trying to give info for my family for whenever I’m gone and they want to sell my coin collection. It’s a mix of everything from cull Morgan’s to graded NGC coins and uncirculated Silver eagles. Since they have almost zero knowledge I guess the best approach for them would be to take part or whole collection to local coin shop. Any suggestions? Thanks for your time.
