What type of cables did you use to connect the battery to the charge controller?

Very well explained and easy to learn for a beginner thank you !! Can I ask you , does the PPT need to have equal or more Volts than the solar panel ? Eg: I have a 200W panel with 11.1 V output.. but my PPT is a 10 V .. any problems using it ?

A question: Should a pure sine wave be the product I purchase for charging things like a Macbook and Iphones off of a small solar panel?

Does the d.c system only able to do 12 v or can it do more?

What kind of appliances could you run with a 12volt solar panel? Could I attach a 12v solar panel to a standard car battery?

This video is very useful, planning portable setup for a car.
Food for thought: a lot of electronics actually doesn't need more than 12V (e.g. computers), their power supply actually converts voltage to 5, 3.3 V. You will need a different power supply, sure, but you won't loose energy during conversion

Low level is... Solar panel >> automatic buck converter (XL4015) >> Battery (12.60v) ... with of course a series diode to block the panels from drawing from the battery during the night. Easy.

Thank you in advance 🙏👍🏼🙏

Can you be any more condescending to people who want to learn? How far down is beginning level to dumb it down ? When really you explained nothing at all about solar you only hooked up already made parts. That is NOT explaining anything, how does the solar panel work? Thumbs down

It's cool explained, but it's sad to say this type of controller which is used here is a cheap controller, and very much costful to everyone if they use it, these controllers will overheat, and kill the batteries as well kill the inverters.

i'm here in 2022 trying to figure out how to wire multiple 12v solar panels (5 or more) in parallel to multiply the amps to produce a fast charge alternative with enough capacity to maintain the car battery while driving during a sunny day 😂 because my $300 alternator just broke 🤦‍♂️😂😂😂

Question from clueless! Do I have to use a battery? I’m needing to run small water pumps for my hydroponic vegetables. There is no electricity in my yard and the pumps only need to run a short amount of time during the day. It wouldn’t hurt if they missed a day. Thank you!

Hey, brother, appreciate it taking your time to educate us seriously. This is an old video, but believe it or not, it makes a hell of a lot of sense. It's very basic, but yet for some of us, we could actually understand the concept of you need this to make these things run.

You can run this for this long. These 2 things for that long and thats what we need to hear.

"KISS" w/ some details on how it works and what you get in return is fkn phenomenal.

Thanks for the video

Hmm. I was just looking at a 100w panel but it seems pointless IF the electrical grid is an option. $100/panel, 500 watt hours/day = 4 years to pay itself off, assuming it produces the maximum possible energy. Thats not counting the extra cost of inverters, batteries, or controllers. Maybe I'm missing something...

Help 😅. I am setting up this exact system for a phone charger and single light bulb in an outdoor sheaf. My problem is the solar panel came with just a USB plug in. I have almost exactly the same controller as you do. Is it possible to purchase a USB plug-in cable that just has bare wires on the other end so I can wire them into the controller box from the panel. I have not been able to find one, so I took an old Cable and it I cut it in half and it has four wires red black green and something else and I watched your video and it says use the red and the black wire and I had that all figured out my question really is those warriors are so small that I’m not sure I can even strip them and have them be held by the connections in the controller. They are not much thicker than strands of hair. It seems like. And if I do use them, should I tin the ends of the Warriors with solder first. And should I use that light of wire if I have to extend it or is it possible to use the lighter wire and connected to heavier wire to make that connection at the controller a little better because it’s heavier wire. I will not be hooking up an inverter in this system as the only two things it will be used for is charging a cell phone and a regular 12 V light that you use for camping. And I am hoping that the small battery I have which is exactly like yours that I use for my ice fishing depth finder which is an eight amp hour battery should be enough to keep that battery charged I think my solar cell is a 20 amp cell but I’m not sure. Any help you can give me or if you could point me in the right direction or point me to a different one of your videos I would be more than appreciative. I’m more worried about whether if you use bigger wire, do you lose more in your longer cables as in voltage drop? Thanks again I hope you can point me in the right direction.
