I agree with all that you have said. I'm not from Cincinnati but have been here for over 45 years.

I went to cincinnati for a boxing tournament in middle school. Im hispanic and from N.M. where hispanics are the majority. It was all our first time out there a d we were amazed we had never seen so many black people. They werevgood boxers too i got knocked out by ricardo williams from cincinnati who ended up winning the tournament in my weight. Thats all i remember from the city is that the majority were black. I had never seen that before. Shout out to african americans now that im older i understand how hard america has made it for you guys to make a living. But yall take it on the chin and still become successful. Shout out

Moved here from Florida after traveling for work all over the country.

Best city in north America by a large margin.

cincinnati is a great town if you fit into living the middle way. nothing extreme, late to the party, leans to the right, the weather changes just like most any place east of the Missisippi. My biggest complaint is that most of the long time residents don't want anything to change. It's fine just the way it was 60 years ago. And 60 years ago the people would say the same. "It's just fine just the way it is". There are professional sports, good colleges, good hospitals, nice neighborhoods, museums, parks, and a very nice in-city zoo. I've read some of the comments here and the one that rings most true for me is, "what high school did you go to." When i moved here years ago i always heard things like, "the zoo is the second oldest west of the Alleghenys". the art museum is the second oldest west of the Allaghenys, the mill creek is the second longest west of the alleghenys, carew tower was the second tallest west of the Alleghenys" and such. too funny. Oh, and the people here think they are friendly but no they are just looking for something to gossip about or find wrong with you. If you want a nice city with nice neighborhoods that slows the pace a bit, maybe this place is for you.

I lived here for over 25 years. Like many big cities there are pros and cons. For me the biggest pro is that there is plenty to do whether sports ( pro baseball, football, soccer, hockey etc) and the arts have never-ending options. Biggest con: is lack of mass transportation. Unfortunately, the subway system was never completed. If Cincinnati had better mass transportation it would be a lot easier to get around with less traffic headaches and would open the work opportunities to many of its citizens.

Cincinnati is a bit backward and stopped in time. It's a place not open to outsiders.

The biggest issue for me is will friends and family visit me if I move? And would it be easy for me to visit people on holiday or weekends? Cincinnati is like most mid sized cities. Plenty of things to do if you look for them. I like rain, I like snow, I like cloudy days, I like sunny days. The weather isn't a big issue. I have never gotten stuck in the snow. But I do have allergies so there is OTC medicine for that. I can move anywhere between Cincinnati and the west side of Florida and be OK.

I grew up about 50 miles east of Cincy. And I remember the temp dropping 30 degrees in 2 hours when a storm blew through in the summer.

I moved to Cincinnati in 2005 from Charlotte, N.C and I have regretted this decision ever since. Cincinnati, unlike Charlotte, is very insular. If you are asked the question, 'Where did you go to school?', they are not referring to college but high school. Most people who are born here never leave. What I loved about Charlotte, in contrast to Cincinnati, is that most people were imports from other places. I loved the southern hospitality and was embraced from the moment I began living there in 1998. My other issue with Cincinnati is the airport which is actually located across the river in Kentucky. There are not many direct international flights and more often than not you have to take connections to get to your final destination within the continental US. The Western and Southern tennis tournament is in danger of moving from Mason, Ohio to, you guessed it, Charlotte! I hazard to guess this move will happen because Charlotte has so much more to offer. If I were in a position to move back to Charlotte I would go in a heartbeat. Just my two cents.

Cincinnati is ok. Not enough access to grocery stores in the city. You definitely need to drive to get around which I dont mind. Lots of ghetto stuff - - crime drugs violence prostitutes a lot of vacant buildings in decay. Positives include a lot of places downtown to spend money to entertain you and thats about it oh and winters are generally milder than northern states

I travel all over the lower 48 and the weather changes just about everywhere, except Possibly San Diego and LA. Florida even gets cold in the winter, only the people there are not prepared for it. Thank God we get very few tornados and even fewer hurricanes, so as far as weather goes, I think we are in a sweet spot. We are no different than anywhere else in the majority of the country when it comes to changeable weather, although we like to think we are unique.
