Blacks from the Americas, specifically English speaking Blacks from North America and throughout the Caribbean founded a Country with African born people called Liberia. Once you tell that history there’s nothing to prove.

We are two different people, we dont come from africa and are not african, the theory that all black people come from africa was created by white people in the 19th century. The issue is when SOME africans come to america, they live in black american communities, they cosplay as us, dress like us, go to our HBCU's, enjoy the civil rights that we fought for. But then want to pretend like they are better or turn their nose up at us. This is extremely corny. And what makes it worse is we know what's going on in your home countries and the conditions majority of the people are living in. So its amazing to us that so many come here and act the way they do towards us.

What makes you think they should be together? Skin color?, as a black american I'm an American, not an African. The africans need to assimilate to Americans. Black Americans owe them nothing.

we are Americans not Africans. Our lineage is traced for some 400 years and for others our lineage has always been America. We are not the same. That is a term that was created with Jessie Jackson and his b.s. rainbow coalition and Regan.

Her comments on black Americans letting slavery hold them back makes her somewhat sound Caribbean.

I appreciate the Nigerian guy for telling the truth of America cherry picking the elite of Africans.

I really appreciate this exchange. So thankful to the brother for highlighting the class component in migration patterns and motivations. As a Black American who has traveled a bit throughout Africa; doing so has dispelled a lot of myths for me. These discussions are imperative if we want to put an end to these “diaspora wars”.
