I currently game these irons, absolutely love them but now thinking about the Mizuno pro 24 series, possibly the 243 irons due to be released soon.
ОтветитьTop line too chunky for me.
ОтветитьCan confirm that the stock grips on my set were cockeyed as well. Not a huge deal because I ended up swapping them for a different set of grips that I wanted anyway.
ОтветитьI do like the look of the hot metal as a club , the shape and the sound it could be my next set, at the moment im playing the titliest ap1 which i have had for a good number of years so now it looks like a trade in is on the way nice review rick.
ОтветитьRick, I don’t think you’ve ever brought out the in-depth video you mentioned about each model. I’m looking at the forged and would appreciate your opinion abit further on them! Happy new year! 🎉
ОтветитьWould LOVE a 919 Tour vs 923 Tour when they come out in a month or so. They look very similar and I’m curious how that copper underlay and updated weighting and hopefully slimmed down blade length compare. Love my 919s but the blade length is just a tiny bit long. A little less offset and more compact head would be amazing
ОтветитьJust picked up a set of 921 forged. Gorgeous clubs and excellent performance on the range. Can’t wait to get them out on the course week.
ОтветитьWhat's the 411 on the new forged 923
ОтветитьI liked the MIZUNO Pro’s so much, bought a set myself. First day out tomorrow with them. Felt great at the range, super excited to have them on the course. Wanted to buy a set of MIZUNO covers for them for protection, AUD$135 😢😢😢. Buying some generics instead.
ОтветитьDid you ever do a follow up video on this Rick?
I’m currently waiting for my JPX 921 tour irons to arrive …..
You should play Mizuno your ball flight is the puriest with them, I would play forged 456 hot metal pro, 7,8 forged, 9,pw, gw tour in recoil 95 reg shaft
ОтветитьWhere is the more in depth video??
ОтветитьCould you do the 221, 223, and 225 now?
ОтветитьBeen playing MP64s since the year after they were introduced, and I love them. I'd pick up the 921 tour if I wanted new irons, but...I don't, lol. Maybe one day.
ОтветитьWhy do mizuno make hardly any left handed irons - really frustrating
Ответитьone year later still waiting for the full review
ОтветитьHave you done a review of the Hot Metal Pro??
ОтветитьForged 921 looks like a perfect set
ОтветитьJust went and got fitted for hot metals. Club felt amazing.
ОтветитьWhere's our 3 seperate reviews Shielsey?!
ОтветитьWhen Rick topped the 5 out of the rough and almost killed a bird, I screamed "ONE OF US"
Ответитьjust picked up the hotmetal version today, and it is amazing, solid contact, good distance and carry, thanks for the review rick!!
ОтветитьDefinately want the tours, yes I'm late to the party but i tried the 919 Tours a few years back and I fell in love with them. Currently I have titleist 712 ap2 in the bag and they are good, but they are also old. If I can get hold of a set of 2nd hand JPX919 tour with KBS C-taper shafts in good condition I'd get them. If not then it's the JPX921 Tour, possibly forged since I'm getting a bit older and my game is not as good anymore so might want something a little bit more forgiving. (or maybe check out this years models ofc)
ОтветитьI bought the Hot Metal recently and I have never hit irons better. They are honestly amazing.
ОтветитьBought the hot metals 5-GW. I love them, sponge like feel, very strong. Hopefully I can find the middle of the face and shoot low this year.
ОтветитьI think Mizuno should drop you from any kind of sponsorship because you keep talking about a set of blended irons and I don't think they sell those to the public.
ОтветитьI purchased the JPX 921 Hot metal on April 29, 2022. I attended a Muzino demo and hit the 7 iron. They were wonderful. The 7 iron felt great, solid and flew so beautiful. This is my fourth set of Muzino irons.
ОтветитьI have been watching a lot of golf channels but this is one that I have subscribed to.. because you are so real on your reviews and even when you are shooting bad you keep it real.... keep it up man
ОтветитьDid the follow up video ever come out? I can’t seem to find it.
ОтветитьInteresting observation on the grips. Had all my clubs redone with those golf pride grips and all irons have shifted the same way. Might be a grip issue not a Mizuno issue
ОтветитьEvery time I watch one of your videos around my wife she says no even before it is done...I guess that is because I ask how she feels about me purchasing a set of clubs haha
Ответитьthank you. after watching your review I purchased the forged irons. Great review and help.
ОтветитьAre the tour ones blades ?
ОтветитьJust got fitted for the 921 tour w/ recoil graphite shafts and they feel amazing. Hoping they’ll be here within a month! Mizuno kills it with these. Great video Rick!
ОтветитьThey look great! I would definitely go for the Hot Metal though, more forgiveness and confidence needed for me!
ОтветитьFantastic information , I recently made a play for JPX 921 hot metal iron set 4-pw-gw $1099.98 CAD.. Thank you so much for these videos. See my one armed left handed swing at shorthanded in the kitchen with Randy.
ОтветитьAs a full quarter amputee playing left handed with my right arm , I can really appreciate these videos while I decide which clubs are best suited for my game. Thank you.
ОтветитьWhen fitted, my pro and I built a set that blended hot metal pro in 4-7, and forged 8-P. The forged were bent 1’ strong to blend the lofts between the two. Absolutely beautiful! Highly recommend blending these sorts of clubs for anyone in the 4-22 handicap range.
ОтветитьTours are very playable for mid handicappers through the 7 or 6 iron. If these are your dream clubs, bag em. Life is short.
ОтветитьWhere's is your in depth video on the Mizuno hot metals?
ОтветитьId love to see a review of the JPX 921 hot metals!
ОтветитьI just bought a set. I got fitted for the hot metal 921s. I hit every iron head in the joint and these clubs were clearly the best I hit. I'm a 14 handicap at 60 years of age. I'm looking forward to playing them. I should have them in about 4 - 6 weeks! Gorgeous clubs. Thanks Rick
ОтветитьWas there ever a follow up to this review for the individual clubs?
ОтветитьHad a fitting a few weeks back and ended up with the JPX921 Forged. We went through a lot of clubs and shafts but it was very clear to see the performance of the 921 forged compared to anything else. What a beautiful looking and performing club with incredible feel👍
ОтветитьDid Rick play regular shaft or stiff shaft for this test? Does anyone know?
ОтветитьI don't understand the allure of brick on a stick irons. They look ungainly and off balance. Tiny little shaft and this giant weight on the end. I'd rather look down and see a nice thin topline.
ОтветитьI bought the 921 hotmetals on Jan 1st. I love the way the feel and look. So solid.
