gotta say, first time I watched that scene, I assumed it was just Butcher tripping, but in the Herogasm episode it turned out that this conversation actually did take place. brilliant.

Well, his life is filled with liars and one of few people who say truth to him is Butcher and Stan Edgar. Both men get some degree of respect from Homelander.

I find it interesting that with everyone else Home would just enter the home, almsot violating the idea of home being a secure haven. But with Butcher. He respects its. Even asking to come in. I think Home respects him. Like he’s the only human not afraid of him.

Butcher is the only one that Homelander has ever shown respect towards. I think he does this because Butcher has never lied to Homelander. Butcher has always been clear and upfront about his intentions, which is something that nobody else has ever done for Homelander.

So. Anyone else toyed with the idea that Homelander was never there in this scene and this was just Butchers imaginary conversation with him to convince himself to keep the temp V?

U know, if u don't know the plot, it look like they're not arch enemies, they look like a friend -ex friends who have a bad relationship

Homelander knocking at the windows to ask if he can come in is so much funny but i a way it show that the only one he respect is butcher when one of his favorite activites is to violate ppl private space and make them unconfortable.

Crazy to think that the only true honest friendship they have is with eachother since they can be perfectly honest without protecting or deceiving anyone about who they are.

Imagine if one of the boys showed up at butchers house during this scene just to find him and Homelander having a causal conversation at his dining room table 🤣🤣💀
