Carlos had to defend from Charles way too many times last year, this year. Charles raced Carlos the most in the last 2 years, more than any other driver. Carlos even got booted for Lewis. Ferrari on top of that having their legendary "strategies", i would be doing th3 same as Carlos. Even if he was better, Charles is and was the Golden Boy...

The only people who think Max’s 2021 championship has an asterisk next to it is Lewis fanboys. Max out drove Lewis all season long. Lewis wouldn’t have even been in contention for the championship in Abu Dhabi if not for all the gifts the FIA gave him throughout the season in the first place.

Technically, Zak Brown is not wrong as most of Max's wins were in the fastest car at the beginning of the year due to the illegal asymmetric braking system haha after that he couldn't win much and was just doing damage control. Hence LH's comment on whether Max is beatable next year depends on whether they have 1,5 sec advantage again at the start of the year - read: if they have illegal parts)

Re. First corner...I think Lando knew that the race was with Ferrari not with Max (Despite the technical chance, Brazil put the nails in the coffin of his drivers championship challenge). The McLaren hasn't been performing well in the last couple of rounds, both closely matched drivers struggling. 👍🏻
If McLaren don't perform well in the next few rounds I think Ferrari could well pip them for the constructers title.

cold track suited merc not Mclaren --but the new reg enforcement on rear wear flex and about plank wear and the fia check on tyres etc have i believe affected mclaren as well as other teams for sure

This was a pretty good race to watch. Maybe top 3 or 5 for the season. Only thing it was missing was a safety car. Brazil was the cherry on the cake though.

Ferrari had the best driver pairing in F1 qns they threw it away. Sainz was the perfect teamate for LeClerc. Just the right amount slower than LeClerc to help him with a WDC.

They threw it all away. Next year is going to be a disaster for Ferrari. Either Leclerc is going to absolutely destroy LH and make him retire, or Lewis still has it and LeClerc is going to have his confidence destroyed permanently.

Where are the pundits/ commentators / YTubers that were lauding Max for his "masterclass" now? Why was Lewis' drive not a masterclass too? He overtook everyone bar one car and a similar amount of (and stronger) cars to what Max did, on merit and with no safety cars.

How many Ferrari's and McLaren's did Max overtake in Brazil on merit? One is the answer. Lewis overtook both Ferraris, McLaren's and one red bull.

Here, no safety cars were needed to do this yet no commentator was saying jt was a masterclass. Why? Also, did anyone notice Wolff's comments about "George's DRIVING was on another planet and Lewis with a super strong CAR went from P10 to P2. Chapeau" or words to that effect. See the difference here? Toto again there still can't complement a great drive by Lewis but did for George who drove well but had a relatively straight forward win.

This is typical Mercedes since 2022, wildly inconsistent swings in performance, put in a banger performance near the end of the year, go into the winter break having no clue if they're finally on the right track or not. I've no faith they'll make gains next year, I do expect Ferrari to be a force though

I have noticed the commentators discussing race strategies always say the race is going to be a one stop race and l always laugh because it never is .

Let’s be realistic here… Max now has four consecutive world driver championships dawning asterisks on all of them. 2021 he got absolutely SMOKED by Hamilton and required the race to be fixed for him to be hand delivered that “championship” but real race fans know he didn’t win that one.

Then the following years car was developed under illegal circumstances given that his team exceeded the cap by a significant margin, so that car should have been disqualified, thereby disqualifying all the results yielded while driving that car

The following year was a further evolution of that car which the team should’ve been forced to scrap given that it allowed them to extend the gap afforded to them stemming from the season before.

Now this season, 2024, the car had not one, but two illegal components/systems and possibly a third that was just discovered a couple of weeks ago. And if that wasn’t bad enough whenever his main rival would pose a serious threat Verstappen would simply resort to dirty, driving and force his rival off track and or cause contact in order to maintain his lead.

As for Orlando, not having captured the championship for himself, a great deal fall on the shoulders from McLaren, who completely screwed him by allowing his lower scoring teammate to cross the line of ahead of him rather than be supportive of their championship, leading driver, and it cost him in the way of points, but more importantly, it impacted Norris mentally as well. In that regard, I feel Zac Brown and Andreas Seidel completely dropped the ball and got it more wrong than any team likely in the history, as it was blunderous to not support their leading driver. And they made the correct calls. The championship would still be alive, though extremely close.

All these being facts, I think all the Verstappen cheerleaders need to get take a step back and get his jewels off their chins.

23/24 really shows how much different max is than Hamilton. Max will always be a straight up better driver than Hamilton. He wouldn't have been able to do what max has done. Hopefully 2025 is even more proof.
