ОтветитьThanks man i learn a lot and keep on refering to this video when stuck
Ответитьloved it. thank you for sharing
ОтветитьMan, as a portuguese guy fascinated with the multimedia world, it's crazy to hear that 300$ a day is low.
Our minimum wage is below 800$ a month. And I won't even talk about how creative or digital jobs are mainly ignored 😅

😂😂😂😂😂
I’m a newcomer to your channel, but I love your ability to tell a story!
ОтветитьThey won’t hire people out of state so this does not apply to anyone other people living in la
ОтветитьI can relate that part where you say that you had been working on PC and then boom there comes Mac. Same thing happened with me when I came to Delhi from another city just to explore in editing field. On the very first day at job I was scared of Mac, because I had never worked on Mac & the first project I got was Government of India's project. I was happy (because it was the big project) but scared & nervous at the same time (because of the mac & the tight deadline). Adding more fun to that their current editor left the company on the day of my joining. I was the only editor left. I had no idea whom to ask.
But today when I look at myself I feel proud of myself. I think each one of us goes through the same fear. Nowadays I am editing for amazon and many more other brands. It gives another level of satisfaction. Just want to say to all the fellow editors that KEEP LEARNING!!!!
What education do you have?
ОтветитьThat is so awesome and I find it really inspiring as someone who is a student right now. I also have access to linkden Learning, so I must check out some courses.
ОтветитьGlad it worked out for you and that fast. Unfortunately it didn't work out for me.
ОтветитьThanks for your video, I got alot of usefull information !
ОтветитьI LOVED your story man! I appreciate this. I'm hoping I get some work myself🙏
ОтветитьThis is now Davinci resolve's era
ОтветитьAwesome storytelling!
ОтветитьAm I the only one who feels like he's mouth moves like from an AI generated clip? :D
ОтветитьI was disappointed when you said avid or premiere then I realized this is an old video. Avid and premiere is doa now. Learn resolve
Ответитьdamn this was inspiring to hear and funny ! great video overall
ОтветитьHow much harder is it to become an editor in Europe compared to the US?
ОтветитьYou either slept with someone, or were "friends" with someone.
ОтветитьPlease i want tk learn video editing 😢
ОтветитьVery inspiring. Cool story
Ответитьgreat video man thank you so much. I am an indie filmmaker and I have recently decided to stard editing my projects. I got the mac studio with the m2 max chip and adobe premiere pro. Which course would you recommend for a total beginner? Thank you
ОтветитьJust started to learn video editing and I'm surprised at how great it is. I also hope one day I can be an editor and get some extra income as a stay-at-home dad. Thanks for your video
ОтветитьSo nepotism basically
Ответитьyou motivated me thank you
ОтветитьGuys, I've just made my first showreel, please tell me if it's good
ОтветитьYou literally created your own courses lol that’s dedication that I need
Ответитьwow!
ОтветитьWhat were the Lynda classes called?
ОтветитьThis is the life I want man. How do I do it, where do I start
ОтветитьTHANK YOU FOR THIS
ОтветитьYou exhibited a great combination of prep work, luck and having a little faith that you'll figure things out on the job. That's what it takes. I've been doing this for almost 40 years and every job teaches you something new.
Ответить150 is bad? id be digging out a mountain with my bare hands for 150 a day
ОтветитьThat Mac story...😅😅.. I felt nervous just listening to you tell it. How'd you make that immediate transition on the spot? What about the hotkeys?
ОтветитьThis video is so funny. you are funny. Love it. Reminds me of how I would be. clueless to start
ОтветитьThe editors subreddit is private
ОтветитьYou woke her up, just for the damn shot...
Ответитьwow, thank you
Ответитьwhat is the current status of your pay per day?
ОтветитьWow man, so inspiring. I am in similar transition phase from 9-5 trying to do what I love - filmmaking and photography and this was super helpful. I see that pretty much it is all about being prepared and network-meet people and make right connections and you in. I found it frustrating trying to do some work in my homeland, small country oversaturated market. But one can find excuses all day long, I have to start putting in some effort and believe it will work. Thanks again.
ОтветитьAdobe premier vs final cut pro... Think last one is easy start and is amazing.
ОтветитьWhere do I find editing jobs for films? All I find is corporate stuff
Ответитьthat was ....not my experience lol. It definitely took more time for people to believe in me, but after that first leap of faith I always was hired back for more. The only thing is projects change, staff change, etc. You always need to be reaching out and looking for more work so that someone is always hitting you up. There's never one landing point, but it means you get to work on exciting and varied things.
Ответить150 or even 250 a day is not a livable salary in california.
Ответитьyou kinda look like Theo James
ОтветитьThis actually just got me pretty motivated and determined to keep on this path and refining my skills even more so I can leave my lame ass day job lol
ОтветитьWow,it's not just skill it's a Passion too
Ответить
