Don't be fooled. After reading these comments it appears many don't know the brand. You see a Chevy V8 crate engine stuffed into a tube frame with various displacements and you go Gaga. It is NOT displecement of a 350cid or 5.3Lcid, 383 stroker Chevy engine or the Gen 5 Big Block 502. I owned the 350 and 502 back in 2002-2004. What happens when your electric water pump goes out? Mine did at Sturgis. What happens when the weak transmission fails. Does Walmart have them? I rode Boss Hoss for 5 years. The 502 ran so hot in Texas summer heat it would climb to 230F and then run rough due to Dieseling or pre-combustion. I tried all types of things to get that coolant down to 180F or 190F. Water Wetter, bigger radiator, larger pump, re-routing braided lines from the back of the intake to the thermostat housing, and the only way to stay cool was moving air through the radiator while riding. Pull off the highway and kill the engine for a few minutes. It was not practical. I cursed that 502. The 350 was a lot better at running cool. The handling, well, there is no handling. Those bikes were, are, and will remain a novelty bike. Fun to look at. You'll be asked a lot of questions at gatherings. Jay Leno doesn't even compare them to a Busa or V-Max. Why? Because other than chrome, a big belt final drive, Wilwood brakes (may be Brembo now), fat tires, they are not true crafted and proved precision motorbikes. Lay down $50 grand and you'll see. But, don't expect to win any races.

Having both a fat boy and an F4 , I don’t see the point. I cannot immagine how dangerous it must be to do 170 miles an hour in that riding position. If I want to go fast take a sport bike , it you want to ride slow and make noise buy a Harley , is that simple

How is it almost 8 liters but only 600 hp

I got to try one very slowly down Brighton strip. Fella swore blind all the weight disappeared as soon as you move. He was right , handled real nice... and I was a litre sport bike guy back then. Bit large for our roads here unfortunately. Lovely bikes tho. So well-made

Only 2 things I dont like about the boss hoss is I am a bagger man. I use them all the time. You never really see any baggers outside the one that was briefly shown in this vid. The 2nd thing I dont like is they are not a manual I dont believe.

The building where I work is where they used to build the boss hoss tranny. One sat in the back of the building for a long time that was one of the original prototypes. There was also a bike from another manufacturer that had a 4.3 v6. I think they had bought it to see what the competition was up to. I think it was some kind of Indian (like Comanche) name but can't remember.
